"We loved the very pretty location and particularly having the restaurant on-site. The room was well equipped and had a very comfortable bed. The restaurant itself was delightful, great food and the wine prices were surprisingly reasonable. Would stay again."
"Clean room although dated. Swimming pool closed and restaurant under renovation. It would have been helpful to know via a message on the webpage etc (as other places do) as one reason for booking was the use of an onsite restaurant. Lovely gardens. However, first night there was no hot water, phoned the next morning and it took 3 calls to get through to 'emergency' and only number listed for reception, when we got through he said he would send someone, meantime we checked power etc to no avail, a cold shower in the middle of winter in Pemberton was not idea but we had appointments we needed to attend. Upon returning in the afternoon still no hot water. The receptoonist provided another room, thankfully. However, no offer of a refund for part of the first night or voucher for inconvenience. We are likely to not stay there again after this experience which is unfortunate."
"we found the facilities well maintained and clean. everything needed apart from 1 spoon. the staff were great - the restaurant extremely helpful and the food was fantastic. could not fault our stay of 2 days at all. thanks"
"Clean room, appreciated the fact it was double brick with solid walls between rooms. We had a family room, and the metal bunk beds were a little noisy (squeaky) when the kids moved/rolled over. Our room was at the top of the stairs, so loud conversations from the entrance foyer carried up to our room (this continued until 1.30am). The room had a small fridge, a filled water jug and a kettle with tea/coffee facilities, as well as a bar heater to heat the room."
"Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, can recommend the lakeside room, clean , spacious and plenty big enough for long weekend stay.on site restaurant has good quality food and nice open fire for the cooleer times . Highly recommended"
"We were greeted by a friendly receptionist who later gave us ice and wine glasses for our use in the room. We enjoyed the complementary continental breakfast. The Motor Inn was clean and quiet.
Thank you"
"Very basic room as the photo shown on their website. However, the hot water ran out after one shower was not ideal. Service and free basic continental was good, but not fantastic. Maybe a couple of reading lamps and extra blankets for the cold night would be handy. New, basic, convenient location and rather firm mattresses. Fair value for the price you paid."
"Surrounded by a National Park with privacy plus. The only thing we couldn't seem to access was the internet connection from the main house and tried multiple times at that spot... but wouldn't accept the password we were given.
But didn't worry too much as we had our music and boom box, plus was able to work out accessing the DVD's on TV. It truly brought us back to our times before we even had phones, and was able to catch up on our sleep and recharge ourselves in the magnificent grounds and cottage for the weekend. Thank you!!!
