"Our room was spacious and very clean. The private onsen was large and very comfortable, looking out over the river but completely private. We had the kaiseki dinner each night which was elaborate and delicious. The town of Yamanaka is very pretty with fun row of shops specialising in lacquer wear and pottery, some cafes, the usual restaurants and a big public men's and women's bath, along with a beautiful walk in the gorge along the river. All of this is within 5-15 minutes walk of the hotel....

"リニューアルしたとのことですが、窓の結露対策や照明の配置などとても良かったと思います。ビュッフェのメニュー数が非常に多くよりどりみどりといった感じでした。スタッフさんの対応も良く行き届いており非常に良いホテルだと思いました。また来たいです"

"Ryokan’s kaiseki dinner was finely executed and delicious. Ryokan has a “lion “ dance show in evening for guests, a bonus. Room size was smaller than we expected but adequate. Location was okay as apart from some stores around the square, there was nothing else around the area. "

"今回傘寿のお祝いでお伺いしました。お出迎えや、客室のスタッフさん共に笑顔で対応してくれ、とても心地よく過ごせることができました。ありがとうございます。前もって傘寿の衣装をお願いしてあったのですが、木彫りのお祝いのプレートも頂き、本人もとても喜んでいました。食事の説明もわかりやすく気配りもして頂きありがとうございました。 また露天風呂付き客室もくつろげて良かったです。 また機会がありましたら、ぜひ宿泊させていただきたいと思います。"

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Room was fantastic and the private onsen terrific. Set dinner experience was great too and they were able to cater for my wife’s gluten allergy, which some other ryokans we checked would not. Staff were great too!"
