"We had a large suite with a large amount of living space. While everything appeared to be very clean both in the room and on the property, the floor had not been been washed in quite some time. My husband's feet would be black on the bottom after just a short time walking around barefoot. Scrubbing the feet became a regular ritual. "This was my second time at Gilbert’s but my first time staying there, I have no other word to use besides AMAZING! Genuinely loved the resort & staff so much. Rooms were exactly what they portray online, beautiful and clean. They have a company by the beach where you can rent kayaks and jet skis which was convenient. I will be coming back without a doubt. "If this place was renovated or updated it would be really nice. We had to switch rooms because the air conditioning had a loud whistling sound. The staff were really nice about the change which we appreciated. There were a lot of mosquitos around the property. The nearby water is pretty and we saw a gorgeous sunset. You probably wouldn't want to go swimming though because the water is filled with seaweed. It's more of a sit by the pool and water place, not really a beach go in the water place....
