"Just a 1 night stay. The room was very clean. Some reviews complained about the noise from the highway but I was in a room on the opposite end so that didn't apply to me but I could hear when other guests walk or drove past so sound insulation isn't great. For dinner, motel guests got a 10% discount at the pub (same management/staff) which was great but the food took a long time (over an hour) to come. Breakfast was provided which was nice and the variety was good - both hot and cold food....

"Friendly staff, the manager knew my name. The entire check-in was miraculously easy - Are you so&so? - Yes I am. - Welcome, here is you key, room # is to the right. That was it. Big smile from the manager lady and cannot-be-simpler blasting speed check-in bit any 4- & 5-star hotel I have been to. In other words, easy going relatable approach goes a long way. the hotel room was neet and appeared nicely renovated. All rooms are at the upper level of a big estate, which is a big dinning venue...

"one downer was the fact the restaurant isn't open for dinner on a Saturday night, we had the weekend planned and dinner at this beautiful place was on the list, our fault for not looking properly? perhaps. we just assumed. luck of the draw with rooms, yes, all superior but some are better than others. needed to really look at the offerings and try to pick. saying that, we loved the room we were in it just wasn't the one in the photo we saw booking online. the dude at check-in and in the cellar...
