"The Mermaid Inn is one of our favorite motels. The rooms are decorated with a Mermaid/nautical style with some retro appliances. Overall gives a very homey feeling. Rooms are very clean, staff is really friendly and helpful. Situated between a gas station/store and a Mexican restaurant you have access to fresh food and all the amenities you might have forgotten to pack. Like much of the Long Beach peninsula, the Mermaid is quiet and laid back...but still in walking distance to "downtown" and...
