"I picked the hotel as it’s has a car park , but when I arrived I could not find , I called six seven times but no answer, I had to park in long stay 10mins away .when I arrived at the hotel there was just one member of staff covering the bar and reception, so not his fault . As usual with Hotels.com the room was up three lots of stairs and the furthest away from reception.The room was recently refurbished so very nice , but extremely warm with no fan ."

"Beautiful old hotel. Lovely breakfast. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Stayed during the heatwave last week so bedrooms were incredibly hot but fans and bottles of iced water provided. No air conditioning which would have helped enormously but did not spoil our stay. Foyer and lounge areas coolest part of hotel. Would definitely stay again, though hopefully not in a heatwave next time."

"Rooms are clean and comfortable. Bathroom offers minimum amenities (1 bottle of body wash and shampoo), and for some reason there was no hot water in basin or shower in the morning! Breakfast ordered from menu, so it's freshly made. Although difficult to contact/get response via email initially, staff were helpful in returning lost property item to me which was much appreciated! Would recommend staying here if in area"
