Check in through Expedia was overly complex and took way too much time. 1 hr early check in and 1 hr late check out both denied due to cleaner schedule—not a catastrophe but also not ideal. Rooms have small in-wall heaters with separate manual thermostats for each. "Our stay at Hotel Ballard was great. Location is great if you want to spend time in Ballard near great food and shops. We stayed in one of the 5th floor roof top room and the views were great. Housekeeping and staff were also awesome."

"Everything you need to live comfortably for any amount of time. Dishwasher, refrigerator, utensils that are spotless, stove, all included. Free wine social hour or 2 Monday to Wednesday."

"Clean room. Easy access to UW. Didn’t really need amenities provided so charges for them seem extra. Felt for parents entering room to stuffed Husky because how do you get out of that $25 once the child sees? Staff at coffee bar seemed self possessed. Not bad customer service but entitled and service seemed an afterthought to their current drama. Front desk seemed unable to provide options for dining that didn’t lead to campus experience. All in all good."

"Crumbs and dog hair all over carpet. Upstairs tenant was extremely loud the whole entire 48 hrs of my stay. Blew cigarette smoke at us every time we came in the front entrance while he was outside smoking. Not an accurate description or photos, don’t waste your money."

"A decent place to stay when exploring the Ballard area. Walking distance to everything. Room was small and well-equipped. Walls are very thin, so having earplugs provided was much appreciated. Seems strange to offer a coffee machine in the room without mugs, but we walked downstairs to the kitchen to grab one. Walls need a good clean, but everything else was pretty good."

"You can’t go wrong with the College Inn. It’s closer to UW campus than my Husky’s dorm! The staff are kind and responsive. It has an amazing, huge loft common area with comfy seating areas, big tables, fridge, sink, and coffee/tea, "

"The shadiest property ever. I reported that the fridge in our room was leaking and ruined $70 worth of food and the property manager tried blaming us for it and said they were going to make us pay for the damage. Then they had a maintenance guy come look at it and turns out it was their fault and the fridge was disconnected somehow. They are now refusing to reimburse us for all of the items in the fridge that were ruined because of them. Terrible company, terrible shady staff. Will definitely...

"The Hotel is such a great location for the UW! Great shops and food all in walking distance, too. The Pointdexter cafe that is part of the hotel has wonderful coffees and great healthy breakfast options that were so appreciated! The hotel itself is such a fun, quirky vibe and had a great view from our room to the water. Will stay again if visiting UW!"

"Everything was actually nice EXCEPT we didn’t pay close enough attention (neither did the other couple on our floor) because there is no bathroom. There is a shared bathroom in the hallway. "

"This place is in a beautiful area and easy to get around. It was very clean and cute. I loved waking up and looking at the forestry area across the street. Communication is top notch! I did have issues with the stairs, but that not their issue. I would recommend that if you are not a couple you get seperate rooms. Even then, it is cheaper than a hotel. I would stay there again! "
