Wasn’t clear that we needed to check in at a different location. Would be useful to have that information in the confirmation we got from Hotels.com.
When our key didn’t open the door the woman at reception got into her car and drove over to our room with us to help. She was friendly and helpful.
The room was large and comfortable even though the building is old. There was one bar of soap but no shampoo or conditioner. The drive to the lake was spectacular.

Thank you so much for the detailed review. We have since painted our hotel and are digging deep in renovations. We are hoping to pull ourselves out of the "old" look. We apologize for the lack of soaps. I am sorry about this oversight. We have spoken to hotels.com on several occasions and they have not been very helpful. Unfortunately we cannot control who hosts our reservation availability as they all fall under the two most popular OTAs.

I like that the check-in instructions were clear and I didn’t have to return the room key at the reception. I was just able to leave it in the room when checking out.

Loved the spacious parking lot, full propane gas grill, outdoors seating and play area, clean bathroom.
The only complaint is there was no "Do not disturb" sign. They came and cleaned our room and took the floor towel for the shower, but did not leave a replacement.

We are sorry, we have no idea who you are or where you stayed but we have wifi as we have houses with smart tvs that require it and are used frequently. If you called the office I am sure we let you know the information required to access the wifi, it is available in each room.
Experience was great but no lake view cause of drought but did not matter it was a comfortable room and air conditioning is great when it’s 100 degrees outside

I reserved through a 3rd party. Fortunately when we arrived at 11pm, our keys were in an envelope taped to the door-that was great. They could/should have turned on the AC-since it was record setting heat-and they knew we were arriving late. I asked for a slightly delayed departure-due to the time necessary to prepare my disabled Brother-in-law and dementia wife-they did not approve it. My dementia sister-in-law said she approved another night-which I did not authorize and fortunately-the cleaning crew were so very nice and said they will make sure my account will be credited this one; non-authorized night.

We try our best to let people keep their rooms even if they arrive after the final check-in hour. We are always welcome to leave an envelope for people so they do not get locked out of their room. We are sorry you were not happy with the temperature, we would of been more than happy to accommodate this request. You checked out 2hrs after check-out demanding we do not pay you for the late late check out. Our late check-out is 12 being that 11am is check-out. We didn't charge you for that. However, anyone that checks-out after 12 is charged for another night. That is policy. You wanted to check out after 12 because you wanted to go on a 2hr boat ride and one of your party members didn't want to go on the trip, which you told us you knew for 2 weeks. That should have been planned for, knowing you would have to pay to occupy the room longer, that is standard at any hotel. We had no idea of the circumstances of your guests at that time. I'm glad the cleaning crew was nice, however, just as at any hotel they do not have authorization to credit an account. We spoke with the cleaning crew and they did not say this, only mentioned asking the front desk of the possibility. We are sorry you didn't like your stay and we tried to accommodate you the best we could.

Quiet motel.
Very basic motel. Quiet. Front door did not close properly which meant dead bolt could not be used. Shower was good, good coffee.

Hi Carol,
We took a look at the whole door and it is a built in frame of a cement building. The hinges are inside that frame, a quick tightening of the screws gets the door closed. It did close you just have to lift up a little, we let you know and you stated it was not a problem, we are sorry it was an inconvenience to you. We really do try to make sure the stay is %100 satisfactory. We hope you try us again and we can offer you a much better stay.
We stayed one night and it was good.
There was shampoo and conditioner but no body soap but there was bar soap by the sink.
No Kleenex in the room.
Nice fridge with little freezer section.
They had coffee maker.
I loved how they had little sink by fridge.
Key pick up location was very close and easy to find.
There was little market on the same road.
We couldn’t figure out how to watch TV.

We're sorry about the tv. We would of been more than happy to help you figure out how to watch it. We made trips down there for some other guests who accidentally got the channel on cable instead of satellite. We will look into how to incorporate body soap, however it is not a normally requested item here. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us.
I never stayed because the hotel said they had no rooms available..

There weren't any rooms available as we are accommodating workers for the dam project here in town.. We already discussed that with you prior and had sent an email as well discussing the overbooking.

It's a cozy old lodge in a quiet area right next to the river and lake. If youre not expecting anything new, modern, fancy, or luxurious, its a nice place to get some rest after a day on the lake. I personally love these older places that have that special feeling about them. The kids thought it was ancient but they probably think the same thing about me.

The front door room 32 did not close or lock properly. Requiring muscle to close it. Door Needs to be aligned. The bed is awful. Sags in the middle, and is to short, and not level. Needs to be replaced with a new bed mattress. Uncomfortable for sleep. We’re sorry we stayed there. Request a reimbursement.

We're sorry you feel that way. The moment you expressed that the door was caught a little we offered you a suite with a king bed and a soaker tub but you turned it down saying the door closed and you were going to stay in that room. To now ask after the fact for a reimbursement when you were offered a much bigger room immediately is not fair to any hotel looking to accommodate their guest, especially when you never made any effort at check out to express your discomfort. We hope in the future you give your hotel accommodation time to fix any issues while you are still a guest to them.

My friend and I spent two nights there pretty comfortably. The bed linen were so clean. We will definitely come back to stay. Next time, I will bring regular hand soap and other toiletry.
