Penny and Mike were wonderful hosts! We absolutely loved the area, easy access to the beautiful Methow River. We stayed in cabin A which was perfect for 4 people. 2 adults and 2 kids. The mountains surrounding the valley were amazing. If you need a place to stay this is the place. 2 minutes from down town and all the shops.

We’ve stayed here before and we love the location (near the river, near the town of Winthrop). It’s also very nice that they accommodate dogs. The cabin lay out is nice and the bed is comfortable. Internet worked great. The amenities were lacking - no pool, or hot tub and no commensurate reduction in price. The furniture is tired and kitchen supplies are minimal. For the price I’m not sure we will stay here again.

We stayed in a family suite with a kitchenette and a separate bedroom including twin beds. Games were provided for our use. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The inn is situated right on the river with lovely views.

Went for a hockey tournament in early December. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean. It was 27 degrees outside but inside was warm and comfortable with extra blankets. Parking was no hassle.

Cute Cabin near the river.
We stayed at River Run Inn for our anniversary. Arrival was after office house and very late, so they left an envelope with our key taped to the door. Not very safe, but it worked out just fine. Only recommendation is regarding the directions to our cabin. We walked up to the door and instructions stated our cabin was 2nd to last one on the left. That would have been correct LEAVING the office, but not facing the office. Took us about 10 minutes to figure out we needed to go right, not left. Not a big deal, just a suggestion. We slept with the windows open each night and fell asleep to the flowing river, which was awesome! The town is also very cute. If you stay here, I would highly recommend having dinner as Tappi, which is approx. 10 miles south in Twisp. It was AMAZING!

If you are looking for stress, you will be very disappointed as the River Run Inn is anything but stressful. Mike and Penni are excellent hosts, the sounds of the river are relaxing and the atmosphere is awesome. You are walking distance to Winthrop and the great restaurants. There is a lot to see and do and we're already planning our next trip.

Very nice location with green lawn on the river. Our room (#7) was very private, had a well-equipped kitchen, a porch swing and lawn chairs. Proprietor was very responsive when a plumbing problem arose. River Run is very close to Withrop--a 10-15 walk or short drive.

This is our second time staying at River Run and it was a great base for visiting family and friends in the Methow Valley. Our family of four stayed in one of the cabins and having a refrigerator, stove top, dishwasher, sink and microwave was important to us. Our toddler loved the hammocks and swings on the property and playing in the grass area in front of our cabin. The AC worked well and helped us stay cool when the the temps were in high 90s. It is a short walk from Winthrop and we saw several deer, making it a nice combo of feeling quiet and out of the busy area but easily accessible to places to eat, ice cream and shops. The only disappointment was that when we booked there was a notice on Expedia that the pool was being renovated but expected to be complete in spring of 2023. We visited in July and it was unavailable to guests. I wish this information would have been updated and/or communicated.

Wonderful spot right on the river. Quiet, shared one afternoon sitting by the river with two Canadian geese. Beautiful drive over Stevens Pass. Want to go back when highway 20 is open.

Clean rooms with a wonderful view. Friendly, available staff. We were excited for the pool but it ended up being broken for our stay so that was a disappointment but everything else made up for that. We will definitely stay again.

The best "cabin" stay I've ever had. Very quiet and private. The cabin is setup very well and has everything you need to prepare meals and have a comfortable stay. The staff is amazing and we're very helpful and friendly. Already planning on going back

Great place
River Run Inn was great! Along the river and plenty of great green space with shade or sun to hang out. We sat in the river with our camping chairs and the room was spacious. A/C was nice because of the heat wave. We were there as a couple with our dog for hiking in the North Cascades, but it seemed like an even better place for families.

We booked the river run inn quite literally at the last minute without doing any research into where we were staying. So much to my surprise it was actually very nice. At first, as we turned off the main highway my husband turned to me and asked “what did you get us into?” He ate his words when we saw the property, especially the back with its quiet river views. The deer who frequently stopped in to say hello was a plus. If you are a parent…let me note the room with the double twins and queen was a bonus. Our older kids hate sharing a bed and we like to get down to business (wink wink) and having the kids behind a closed door made that possible. The pool was warm and the hot tub which was adjoined to said pool took only about 10 min to get to temp. The only thing I wish they had was a note on the pool door saying it was open and providing instruction for the cover. When I saw the cover I immediately thought it was closed. The lobby had movies and snacks..also a win. They had a small fridge in which you could keep your drinks. The location was close to town and you could walk to anything around. Ladies, don’t be dumb like me and wear heels. The walk is gravel and it’s a cowboy town so the walkways are made of uneven wood. Epic fail on my part. There was a cute cider house at the end of the driveway that serves breakfast lunch and dinner and even has a spot for kids to play and get out of your hair for a minute so you can enjoy. 10/10 also I wanted to steal the sheets. lol.

Romantic River Getaway
Our stay was great. We enjoyed the large yard right on the Methow River. We used the facility charcoal grill and the back deck with patio furniture to cook a romantic dinner for Two.. despite the drizzle this holiday weekend. The bed was comfortable, felt like home. The faucet water was notable, filtered straight from the river. We drank cold clear fresh water straight from the tap. Located near forest service roads and lakes for a nice Jeep adventure, as well as local food and beer options close by. We will stay here again.

Unless you have a pet, try to stay on second floor. Very noisy otherwise as can hear every footstep. Large rooms. The oil diffuser and nice scented lotions and soaps were a nice touch. View of river and mountains very relaxing. Had a deer come up 2 days grazing. The pool is nice, but I wouldn’t consider the hot tub more than a bathtub. Super small and not hot. Staff was less than helpful using, but checking and checkout were nice. Could have been just a bad day. Great location.

This is a great place to stay in the winter. The staff went above and beyond to help me when parts of my car froze in an extreme cold snap (even when it was the evening of December 31st). I'd recommend the condos, and am excited to come back and stay at one of the cabins in the summer. Just across the water from downtown, we had an excellent time visiting Methow Valley Ciderhouse (within a 5 minute walk) and Old Schoolhouse Brewery (5 minute drive to center of downtown.)
