Really nice room in a riverside lodge. I had a comfortable stay and a great meal at the bistro across the street. I plan to stay here again!

A great motel with a lovely view of the river and nice room ammenities with a microwave and fridge. Would be ideal if breakfast opened before 9 am.

Beautiful place! Love our room with the log cabin motif! And the view from the patio is gorgeous - overlooks a tree-lined river & a bridge, with a mountain in the back!

Our crew stayed at the hotel while conducting work in the area. While the hotel is nice and in a walkable area, it is inconvenient in many other ways. The front desk is only open between 9am and 5pm, which means that our crew did not have the opportunity to have breakfast in the morning or call the front desk in the evening if there was a problem. The check in process required each of our crew members to digitally provide licenses and a credit card for incidentals. While the license part was fine, we normally provide the company card for incidentals which the managers hold. Normally we would do this onsite during check in; however, the front desk was not going to be open when our crew needed to check in. While this may be a good place for people on vacation, we will be sending our work crews to other hotels with amenities that work for their schedules.

I am sorry that you saw our property as inconvenient for you! In the quiet season we do lock up slightly earlier but in the summer months will be open until 8 PM. The process for our online check in is mainly for communication with our guest. You do not have to provide your CC on that system! We do apologize we did not work for you.

We were there in the off season & everything was perfect. Hot Tub clean, cabin well stocked & clean. It was perfect for our long weekend get away with friends. Ideal for 2 couples.

I played in a hockey tournament at the rink next door. The location was great for that and not a bad walk into downtown. I had a game later Sunday morning and asked for a later checkout so I could come back and shower after. It was disappointing to be told that they gave some people a later checkout but they would not give me one. Thankfully the rink had plenty of hot water, unfortunately I only had a small sports towel but I survived. 1st world problems, lol

Was in town for a hockey tournament. Super convenient to be able to walk next door to the rink. Included breakfast was decent. Front desk staff very helpful. I wished for a bit more water pressure in the shower and another shelf in the mini-frig (ours was missing all but one shelf). Other than that, it was rustic but nice.

My stay was just fine. The room had some damage to a few walls, the lamp shades were not secured to the lamps very well and there was a lot of dust under the furniture. I noticed four days after check out, I received a $150.00 charge on my credit card. When I called to inquire, I was told that it was due to damage to a wall and rice being spilled on the linoleum. My toddler did spill rice, but we were hardly in the room and did not cause any additional damage to the room whatsoever. The room rate was incredibly low, but it appears they charge random fees to make up for their low rates. Avoid this place if at all possible.

I am sorry for any confusion. The Charge was for excessive cleaning charge. Which is stated in your policy and in the room. Usually it is 250.00.

There is no exaggeration on the name of this motel. It has a lovely lawn and an excellent view of the Methow River and the nearby narrow bridge into Winthrop. The location is walkable to town, and yet maintains a country feel. The rooms are comfortable and have all that you need. I liked that our king size room had a couch for sitting and a table. The balcony seats three. Would recommend for those who want a good value.

Two-Story Block Lodging Just Outside Winthrop
The only certain thing I could complain about is one bug, and one spider that had gotten into my room. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and has features I appreciate: complimentary WiFi and breakfast, bathroom ceiling fan, extra T.P. and coffee available even when the office is closed. The property has little outdoor lighting, and the unmonitored parking lot is very dark at night. The only issue with this is finding your way around; safety does not appear to be an issue in this small town. Back entrance privacy near the public lawn and river may be an issue, as anyone out there can see into a downstairs room if the curtains are not drawn. I did not sleep particularly well for two of my three night stay; I do not know why, as the beds are comfortable and there was little ambient light. I have an idea for a return that involves how much outdoor space there is, and how dark it is at night. I want to return on one or more clear nights in a non-winter season, and bring my large telescope. This would be a great vacation in addition to the recreation provided by the town of Winthrop, and the proximity of this property to the river.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Methow Lodge. The room was very spacious with a nice little seating area outside on the river. The unit was very clean, and bed was pretty comfy. Staff were very nice and helpful.
