This is the river where grain alcohol turned into bourbon. Along this river distillers would load barges of alcohol destined for Memphis and New Orleans. New Orleans didn't know what to call this sweet new liquor. The casks were stamped with the county of origin, Bourbon County. Excellent staff! Everybody I encountered welcomed me. Also, every staff member asked if there was anything they could do to make my stay better! I've never felt this welcome at a hotel with exception of one in Rome. Loved it!
