Lots of space for me and my 2 children. The kids loved the pool. The place was tidy and clean. The kitchen had everything needed for self catering. We would stay again, very handy, easy place to stay to explore Mercury bay. One thing to note for families is that the room with two single beds was on the ground floor and the two bedrooms with queen beds were on the third floor, not a big deal but my children didn't want to sleep 2 floors away from me.

Overpriced and underdelivered
The unit we stayed in was nice. It was very spacious and had quite a few amenities in the unit. We were able to unpack and enjoy our time here. For the price we paid, we were not that impressed with the view or the cleanliness of the unit. The view of the ocean was a tiny window of view through someone else's backyard. The apartment had been cleaned but there were food bits in the rug in the living area. We were also told that we could request cleaning service throughout our stay but one day they came in and emptied one trash can and another day they didn't come in at all. For the price paid, we expected more and left unimpressed and a bit disappointed.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for your feedback. Very sorry to hear you did not enjoy some aspects of your stay. As we explain to guests on arrival, and as stated in our apartment info sheet, due to many guests wish to observe social distancing we do not service apartments unless the "please service my room" tag is placed on the apartment door handle before 11am. If this does not happen the apartment is not serviced. Apologies if there was a misunderstanding there. There are pictures of the view from the apartment on the Expedia website you made your booking from. They clearly show there is a partial view of the sea through the property in front. Not sure why you thought it was different. As we pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our apartments, we are very sorry to hear there were food bits on the rug. Friendly greeting on arrival. Townhouse was very modern, clean and comfortable. Excellent location as the beach was barely a 2min walk as was the 4 Square, great cafe and apparently the best Fish and chip shop in town. Lovely heated pool.

Nice big apartment
Staying 3 nights for a family trip, really handy and great location. Friendly and helpful reception services. Apartment was well maintained and with partly seaview from the top floor balcony. Just next to the Lost Spring and the beach.

Good location
Really good location - very convenient to the town centre. Condition of the property is very good and apartments are very nice. Found the bed to be too hard and some additional attention to cleaning would have been nice but was still overall an excellent and enjoyable stay. Small note - tv remote had no batteries and tissue boxes were empty. Did run out of shower gel mid shower but not the end of the world.

Amazing
Lovely accommodation all around. Well-managed place, with very nice people at the front desk. Our two-story unit -- modern, clean and tastefully decorated -- came with everything one could ask for, including laundry facilities. We had a wonderful time and would definitely go back.

Excellent apartment. We were in number 10. View of the beach was nice for a morning coffee. Aircon and sky was great. Popped out every day and when we came back it was always clean. Pool was great for the kids. Will be back there hopefully next year

Very new and spacious. Good access to beach front. Separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms great for families with kids. Beds were a little soft and could do with some air conditioning as upstairs got warm when we were there (January).

Amazing home away from home, with subtle touches like Christmas crackers waiting for the kids when we arrived. Was sad we couldn’t extend our stay at the apartment due to its popularity.

So happy to have found this place. Plenty of room for us as a family of 5. Great location. Comfortable beds. Late arrival and the heating was on for us. Owners called by in the morning to see if all was ok. Couldn’t have asked for better. Definitely recommend this accommodation. Many thanks

Loved it here!
Nice views, quiet. Helpful receptionist. Provided a shovel to go to the hot water beach. Very spacious and kitchen allowed us to cook our meals and pack lunches. Would definitely stay again.

Family getaway in Whitianga
A lovely complex. We enjoyed using the heated swimming pool and the tennis courts - both just across from the apartment. The complex was quiet. The unit itself was clean and modern with plenty of space. The only things that would have made it better would have been an air conditioning unit (or units) for those hot summer days / evenings, and extractor fans in the bathrooms. There were floor fans available for bedrooms or living areas.

We loved our stay at Ocean Serenity Apartments! The apartment was very clean, modern and spacious and the location was perfect. We were 50 meters from the beach, steps from the Lost Spring Thermal Resort and an easy two blocks walk to town. Kim was a lovely host, easy to communicate with and very helpful with suggestions for what to do during our stay.
