"The hotel was very clean and the staff were all very friendly and polite. I really enjoyed my stay. Judy at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. Daniel was also really helpful with parking. Our room was beautiful and it was a romantic getaway. The food was so good, particularly the Norse Chicken. So much so that I ordered it three times during my stay! Our waitress Elice was pleasant during dinner. We also ordered room service which came in time every time and hot ! Great menu and quality food. Views from sky bar were incredible and the pool was a fun place to spend the afternoon. Not a far distance from the tourist attraction spots in town. This was a perfect way to celebrate our engagement! Thank you to everyone at Valhalla for making this weekend one to remember! "

"This is your typical older hotel. It’s not great to look at and the wear and tear is obvious. The lobby and breakfast area are a bit shabby. However, renovations were underway while we were there. All employees were very nice. The room was fine, bed was fairly comfortable. We ended up with a jacuzzi tub that needed deep clean but again that wasn’t a big deal. The thing that makes this hotel great is the ideal location. Not only is it walking distance to the shops and restaurants, but it is right on the river with a nice green space, picnic tables stairs right in to the water. Here you can watch the tubers all day and skip rocks in the evening. This hotel was perfect for my family although I do feel the price I was charged was a bit ridiculous, but I booked last minute so maybe that’s on me. "
