"We stayed in eight different hotels during our two week trip to the UK and this was by far our favorite because we booked a private in Japan cabin on the water. It was brand new and perfectly maintained and you could tell the owners really care. I can’t over emphasize how highly I am reading everything for this property, especially if you book the private cabins.
Our next trip, we will make sure we stay here again!"
"Linens could use some updating but the room was clean, bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. Not fancy but a clean safe place to spend the night. Kathleen was lovely. Only negative for me was the stairs to my room. I am a 70 year old solo traveler and getting a suitcase up the steep stairs is a bit of a problem. No reflection on Kathleen because the house is charming… but not suitable for limited mobility."
"What a treat it was to stay here. A very warm welcome, clear helpful instructions to enter when we arrived a little earlier than expected.
The room is very comfortable with two easy chairs which is unusual. A coffee maker with a wide choice of pods plus a kettle with tea and coffee. Everything is spotlessly clean and good quality. We really enjoyed staying here and would highly recommend it."
"Unique property with historical hunting lodge theme. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Food was very good. Breakfast was included.
Bed was a bit lumpy but they were single beds. We still slept well.
Beautiful view out our window."
"What a beautiful area. Marion went above and beyond to help us navigate our day and get us back to the Portree area. Thank you for a wonderful (albeit unexpected!) adventure."
"Beautiful location with welcoming helpful staff. Our room was excellent- and the castle history and ambiance was exactly what we needed to relax at the end of our holiday. The only comment is that the restaurant was good but not great. The potential is there but price vs product needs a nudge."
