"We loved this place! The ocean view from our room was spectacular. We checked out a few other places in town that are more expensive and the view from the Linhof is the best! Breakfast was excellent. Shirley, the manager who runs this place, merits special mention. She helped us get our bags upstairs, served us our breakfast and always had a smile and a kind word. We will definitely return."

"Alabaster Box certainly is doing something right! Besides the home being immaculately kept, the service is top notch. Upon entering my room I was met with the most beautiful scent of sandalwood. A small fridge, and kettle were available for my snacks and tea. The shower was absolutely amazing, and much needed after a long car ride! The balcony even had views of the lagoon. "My stay here was extremely pleasant. My room was comfortable, spacious and kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast was super - my choice was usually juice, coffee (good coffee!), fresh bread with homemade jams and eggs in various ways. "Chantal and Charmaine were wonderful, warm and attentive to my every need. My room had a private balcony, walking steps to a glistening pool and lovely garden. My king bed was super comfortable and the hot cooked breakfast to order was such a comforting touch. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!"

"I only stayed one night but I will definitely return for longer stays. The owner-manager could not have been kinder or more helpful as I was there for doctors' office visits at the Panorama Medicentre, a short walkable 1 km away. The bed and one bedroom suite were the most comfortable I have stayed in for quite sometime. The breakfast (included) was homemade eggs, bacon, toast and they even had decaf coffee for me. I love Paperbark Manor and will come again."
