"This was my third stay at the MATSCH - this time on my own as my wife was not well and my daughter, with whom I travelled to Paris, stayed in Paris. Twice before we stayed in a room for three and we always had a fantastic time at the MATSCH. Even though our flights from Australia take their physical toll, we are already planning our next visit to the MATSCH!! No visit to Europe without the MATSCH!!!! "

"Charming, family run hotel in a quiet section of Plauen, close to the city center. Breakfast included and really good. Staff helpful. Owner kind enough to sell me a beer even though restaurant had closed. She found me a charger for my IPad, Room was small but comfortable, clean and priced well. Book early, this hotel is popular and fills up fast."

"The spa, gym, and lake views are excellent. The hotel has a very 90's feel and no room service (this was a bummer as we had a lake view room and wanted to stay in and relax). The beirgarten by the water has excellent food, although it closes at 930pm (as does the only restaurant on site (a buffet). The place was comfortable for 1 dayx the lake location and sauna were exactly what we wanted"
