"It's very difficult for me to evaluate the hotel at the moment. Now it's undergoing repairs and therefore all the problems are on the face. There were 5 markings on the wall in the room - none of them worked. The girls at the reception are very helpful. Breakfast is simple, you can have a snack."

"Very large group was checking in for the weekend. ( conference ) They took up a major portion of the lobby as well as the area coming out of the garage. We had to wait for an extended time to get checked in. My suggestion would be to have the rooms designated and a credit card on file prior to their arrival. There was so much discussion with each conference attendee about the room they were getting. Transient guests should not have to wait for large groups to get checked in. My other suggestion would be that someone be designated to keep the group in one location. They were just everywhere and it was hard to move thru them to get where you wanted to go. A bit disappointing. The group just had the run of the hotel."

"À bit bleak. Large room but sparsely furnished. Two doubles beds were too small for a comfortable sleep for four people.Also has a very noisy central AC system. Location was good. Breakfast food was fine but server was incredibly rude. Refused polite requests from me (and other guests) and just sat on her phone."

"So we travel quite a bit for pleasure. On this trip I took my son to NYC for a couple days. The hotel there...was little to be desired, old, poor front desk service, and godly expensive. However the second half of our trip was exploring Stamford Greenwich when i used to live there 25 years ago. Checking into the Marriott Residence Inn was such a refreshing feeling! The gorgeous clean lobby with beautiful interior design and art felt like checking into a ultra luxury hotel. The front desk staff allowed us to check in at noon which was brilliant. Our suite was so well appointed. full kitchen, (not that we used it but really nice), living area with sectional couch, desk, pull out circular table and 2 comfy queen beds. Large Flat screen TV welcoming us by name on the screen and the spacious well lit, well appointed bathroom with a shower with awesome water pressure made it feel very "spa like" Valet parking was a cinch, and cheap to store your car over night, and every staff member was so kind. Ok so the breakfast (which I rarely do) was also really really fresh and healthy. fresh fruit, grains, egg sandwiches, bacon, scrambled eggs and a fresh waffle station with coolers full of fresh juices, and anything you wanted. Staff for breakfast was kind and attentive. If you are looking for a 4 star experience on a 2 star budget. This is the spot. I think our 2 nights were less than $500?! I will be sure to be back!
