"Very helpful, we were going to be later than anticipated arriving, phoned to let them know, they reassured us it was no problem, everything was ready for our stay. Check-in at the bar was easy, staff showed us to our studio, staff very cheerful. Food in the pub was great, not just pub grub. Only downside, studio was small."

"Ideal for a group of 3 friends. Simple check in after a 2 minute walk from the station. Easy access to town centre and local attractions and bars. Would recommend. "

"Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space."

"Weekend in york Apartment was about a 5 minute walk from York minster so ideal location. Car parking space ( quite tight but ok) provided in the pub at the rear of the flat. Flat was modern and very well equipped. Quiet despite there being a pub and car park nearby. Shower was a little mouldy but other than that the flat was perfect "

"We really enjoyed our stay here, the property was well equipped with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. I do think the property does need updating a little and it would have been nice if the hot tub had been filled on arrival, the hot tub also needs a cover as unless you like cold feb rain wouldn’t have been enjoyable. "We had a really good stay. The cottage is beautiful and equipped with absolutely everything you could ever need. Our son really enjoyed the garden, in particular the Wendy House which was also kitted out with toys, which was a lovely bonus. The village is peaceful but perfect for a nice walk. We would thoroughly recommend the property and would stay again. "

Radisson Hotel York

10/10 Excellent

"All the Radisson comforts you'd expect, located in the backstreets of York. Local area didn't feel particularly safe to walk too far at night, although night life was alive and well, together with plenty of drunks staggering the streets nearby at barely 9pm, and rowdy bars across the river jamming on till quite late. All taken in good humour though as we were comfortable and cosy in our room. A quiet solace in a restless town."

"A 5 minutes walk from the Shambles makes this hotel a quiet haven away from the usual York crowds. The downside is it's a little further to walk from the railway station (20 minutes) but you can use the bus to make that journey The staff are super friendly and helpful. The common areas are clean and tidy. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean with a great view of the Minister. I loved the automatic light under the bed which saved fumbling for the light switch. The only niggle was the chair was a little out of proportion to the room size and I kept bumping into it. Overall, highly recommended and I will certainly be staying here again. "

"The views from the bar and restaurant were amazing. The only downside was the layout of the room,we were told it was deluxe suite but it was small,television was not facing us, it was on the side and the plughole in the sink was not very good and water did not go down very quickly. Overall the hotel was fab,especially staff were really nice especially in the restaurant. "
