"The were nor pleasant to deal deal with and seem uncaring when talking to them. The so called breakfast was not a breakfast at all. It consisted of a broken coffee machine and 2 waffle makers and a cold cereal dispenser. There where no eggs, sausages, bacon, danishes, toast or anything like what the advertisement make you believe. I checked in Wednesday evening and woke up thursday next morning expecting coffee and a decent breakfast and was brutally disappointed. After that experience I didn’t bother with the horrible breakfast Friday or Saturday. The place is not very organized. Also, my room trash or linen was not refreshed the whole time I was there."

"Breakfast in the 10 Thomas restaurant was delicious, staff was attentive and friendly. We reported the bathroom outlet was not functioning, they responded promptly (fixed within a half hour). Pool was not open yet for the season, but it looked nice. Room was not spacious, (the doorway and hallway seemed a little tight) but it had everything we needed. "

"The staff was great but the rooms on the lower floors do not get much sunlight. They can be very dark and one suggestion my wife found it really difficult applying her makeup due to the lack of light. Each room should be able to order a makeup mirror from the hotel to make up for the lack of light. Also the pillows were lumpy and not soft. Overall the hotel and room were clean and the staff were all very attentive and helpful."

"I was delighted to discover that the entire building is going through a renovation. My room was newly re-done, clean, and good. I'd say staying here is about expectations though. This is an affordable place to stay in a nice area that is close to the metro, restaurants, etc. I didn't see any staff after I checked in, but Etie helped me get settled by getting an ironing board and iron during check-in. Lost Sock is a great coffee house located on the far side of the metro. I didn't know we had laundry machines in the building. I didn't need that though. Again, if you want an affordable, clean, safe place to stay that's close to DC, this is for you. If you want all the amenities of a full hotel, you'll pay double to be in DC."
