It is an old style Vermont Country Inn with simple but comfortable room accommodations. It has a real nice common area with a fireplace and game. Breakfast was also a very simple self serve continental style. Short drive to ski areas and some things were walkable

We left a night early so we would not have to spend another night at the Waitsfield Inn! It was extremely noisy and the mattress should’ve been replaced a long time ago. While the innkeeper receives high marks for letting us check in the empty inn early to take a business meeting via Zoom, it seems everyone arrived after myself and my children went to bed. We were woken up a number of different times by people checking in and stomping up the stairs. In fact, the innkeeper agreed telling me that guests arrived loudly at 11pm, and another group that loudly climbed the stairs around midnight. They were talking loudly long after that. He said he was going to suggest a curfew to the owner. I let them know that the double bed is badly worn, particularly on the right side near the desk, and is generally lumpy. The blind on the left doesn’t work, and the outlets by the desk and standing lamp do not work. I don’t remember the last time that I slept that poorly, getting maybe 1.5 hours of sleep in total. We were forced to shorten our trip. I asked the owner if he would refund the money paid for the night that we were not staying. (I did not ask for both nights.) He said that they don’t give refunds.

The bathroom was way too small and cramped. This is called a Bed and Breakfast. Unless that means something else now this was not a B&B, i.e.. there was no cooked breakfast. Some waffles and oatmeal was all that was cooked. There was what amounted to a continental breakfast, the same you might get at a hotel.

Convenient location, in town and only 10-15mins from Sugarbush ski area. Continental Breakfast decent. Inn has a couple of common areas, so could be good for a large group. Host was friendly and accomodating.

Waitsfield Inn is a nice place to stay
The place was nicely located and was comfortable and warm. It is a short ride to Mt. Ellen for skiing which is great. This will be the last time I use Hotels.com to book though. The invoice I was given at the hotel was less expensive than what I paid and I was supposed to be using free days I have earned. I don't like being scammed.

I was here for one night prior to Christmas for a friends memorial service. I came in early and was allowed to check in. The room was small but very clean and did not have the stuffiness you would expect in an old house during winter. The bed was comfortable and a modern heating unit kept the room as I like it. 2 things I noticed. 1) there was no television in the room. Thats OK for me because I use an IPAD but there was no information regarding the WiFi in the hotel.(front desk) in fact there was no information at all about the check out time, facilities,area dining or activities. Some information in the room would be helpful. 2) and this is maybe just one of those things,but at 230AM the man next door to me was snoring so loud it woke me up. Not a lot of insulation between our rooms. I had earplugs so I was able to get some sleep. It seemed like the Inn was empty so why put people next door to each other if noise is an issue. Breakfast was, "eh", Keurig, no fresh coffee, packaged pastries,etc. I understand the ski areas were all closed but if you are offering breakfast try a little harder. I just needed a good cup of coffee before leaving. Mr. Coffee and an insulated carafe would work.For my purposes this Inn worked out well. It was middle of the road price wise compared to other places in the valley, and it wasn't any more or less than what I expected. I'm sure there is a different vibe when the ski areas are open and the Inn is full. I'd stay again for 1-2 nights.

Thank you for your visit, sorry about the loud snoring in the adjacent room. we are endeavoring to repack the walls with insulation at least the common walls. It is a problem in most properties not just 200 year old ones.

The property is fantastic! The owners are great and the breakfast is super. There are many options for rooms, we stayed in the Milton which was perfect and he renovations that have been done are great. Location could not be better as it's so close to Sugarbush and Mad River Glen and just a stone's throw from Lawson's Finest (Sip o Sunshine)

The owner Frank was terrific. He only purchased the property 2 years ago and has done a lot to maintain the unique charm and decor. He made us the best waffles I’ve ever had with walnuts, chia seeds, blueberries, and bananas. He also provided additional high quality organic options including for breakfast including organic coffee. It’s affordable and we are definitely going back.

Had 2 nights booked thru Hotels.com, Inn only showed 1 night, wanted to charge approx. $70 over booking price for second night. Room was small and cramped; no TV, refrigerator, microwave, or phone. No one at check-in desk; had to call ph# to get help.

Sorry to disappoint. for 600 a night at Best western you can have a Tv and Micro wave in your room. We have a Tv in the Great room and a Microwave in the Guest section of the dining room.

Okay.... power outages tripped the circuits difficult to figure out the problem, you new that however. The fact that the internet fiber optics were damaged by the road construction ? perhaps have any baring on your opinion ? we appreciate fair and honest critique as we strive to make the place better.

the pictures of the bar were removed they were on the Expedia site from previous owner. Sorry for that we make pancakes almost every day as part of the free continental breakfast. It is buffet style at this point. We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay

Very nice two night stay at Waitsfield Inn
Stayed for two nights while touring Vermont. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was simple but very good. Loved the old building. It was within easy walking distance of several nice restaurants. I would stay again.
