"Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price"

"Was really good. Only issue was that 4th bedroom in the separate shed/bach was quite a distance from the main house and hence no internet there. Teenage girls were very keen to stay there but no internet there so no go. No one used it cos of the no internet."

"Overall, the check in process is not clear. It was difficult to locate the keys. Since it’s not a traditional hotel, there’s no front staff to assist. The walk ways leading up to the house can be hazardous in the rain, which can be bad for young kids or the elderly. The upstairs part of the house needs some renovation, and the house is rampant with spiders. There is only a washer, and no dryer. The clothes line is useless for dryer clothes as island weather is wet on and off. Better off staying...
