"Breakfast is delicious. Have to order by 10am. Nice and Clean property. Quiet. Good healing environment. Safe in room. A/C and open windows. Close to Walmart Foodland Ala Moana."
Best Western The Plaza Hotel Honolulu Airport - Free Breakfast
6/10 Okay
"Older hotel, musty smell in the room. We had a room in the 2nd floor section with no elevator. Door opened/faced the highway. There was a 1/2inch gap at the bottom of the door…needs weatherstripping . VERY NOISY! Not a great night’s rest.
Workout room lacking equipment that works…no resistance on the recumbent bike. No towels or water available.
Breakfast was okay, no bread available when we arrived at 7:15! Finally bread available when we were exiting at 7:50. Eggs were tasty, waffles were available to be made. Would rate as “okay”.
We will not stay at the Plaza Best Western again and would caution others."
"All rooms had an ocean view. Very spacious and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were close to the rest of our party who had booked separately. Even though it was busy the design of the towers made it not feel crowded at all. The pools were perfect with amazing sunsets! We were within a very short walk you our outstanding back to back Pink Sails turtle snorkeling and then coming off one of their boats to hop on another one to go on a whale watching tour. The hotel amenities were perfect with a cafe on site as well as a highly recommended restaurant. The bar staff at the pool had the best costumer service. We will be coming back for sure!"
"We liked the fact that it is close to the airport with a great shuttle service every 30min 24 hr/ day. We also liked the Chinese restaurant within the property that had very good service and delicious food.
We didn’t like the fact that the check-in counter agent was very slow in such a simple check in procedure. It gave us the impression that she stalled us hoping to be tipped in order to better accommodate our stay. We ended up getting a very dated unit with a hard to work with A/C that was not adjustable. Either too cold or too hot. She put us in a corner that was noisier than the other units, facing the rail transportation system that every time it passed by it shook the floor making our stay uncomfortable. There was no trash can in the bedroom, and the shower water took at least 6-7 minutes to warm up. The price we paid did not match the value we expected. We were also informed by the agent and also via reviews we saw later that the are is not safe to walk around specially after dark."
"The full kitchen in the room is a genuine advantage, practical, well-equipped, and a real differentiator for longer stays. Housekeeping was consistent and reliable throughout.
The location is excellent. Walkable, with a solid mix of shops, coffee, bars, and patio seating that makes the surrounding area easy to enjoy without needing a car.
The hotel is simply overcrowded. Elevator waits were a recurring frustration, and the pool, tucked into a corner surrounded by brick walls, felt far too small and enclosed for a property with this many guests. Chairs were rarely available, making it difficult to actually use the space even when you wanted to.
Parking was only available via a valet at $45 per day, which sounds convenient, but retrieval consistently took several minutes, which created real scheduling stress on days with booked tours or time-sensitive plans.
The gym also carries a per-use fee of $8. Towels were provided for beach"
