"This is a luxury property, and the pricing reflects that. The very high expenses in this area of the country (e.g., gas, food) drives the high cost of the property. Also a factor is the investment and upkeep of the 2,200 acres of private and well-maintained property.
The 2-hour UTV tour of the property was excellent. The food is exquisite, much of it locally sourced."

"We come from Sacramento two to three times a year to stay here. Our oversized, fireplace room with giant balcony is just gorgeous. The only problem we had this time was someone decided to play a joke and set the alarm clock for 1:30am. Yikes. Be back in January. Bill and Karen."
"Property is in a good location. Close to the beach. You can see the beach from the ocean side rooms. The rooms are pretty dated and need updates. Room was fairly clean."
"Despite arriving one and a half hours after checkin time the room was not ready and we had to wait a further half an hour in the hot sun before gaining access.
The central garden space had a little shade but the plants do not look well maintained.
The room once accessible was fine and reasonably quiet over night despite being located near the main road.
Breakfast was adequate with room to sit down.
Fort Bragg has several restaurants but the only place to eat locally in the evening within walking distance was a fast food outlet."
"Our room had a microwave and a refrigerator. We were on the second floor and can see the ocean from our room. The motel is quiet at night. The Country Kitchen restaurant across the parking lot from the motel is very good. It's like Grandma's home cooking."
"Excellent and friendly staff. We interacted with Bernadette who was extremely helpful and kind. The hotel had interesting amenities such as the fire pit where guests gathered and exchanged small talk in a very friendly atmosphere. Parking is available and so is good coffee in the lobby. We would certainly return if we happen to be around this area again."
"This property is under some sort of construction and street work. Orange cones all down the front of the parking. it is marketed incorrectly on Expedia there is no pool, no restaurant, no beach view and they have flood lights that come on at 11pm each night that shine through the window making it difficult to sleep. The landscaping and office are very dismal and run down. I would not recommend this motel. The staff gal was very nice! That was the only plus-"
