The hotel is located outside the city center next to a busy road, so best solution is to take a bus or rent a bike from the hotel (plus: it is for free!) to the city center."

"We loved everything about this hotel except our room (25) was very noisy because of the hotel restaurant's loud and mostly electronic music. Ww couldn't use our balcony and had to keep all windows and doors shut to muffle the vibration and sound! We had to ask repeatefly for it to be turned down - and even then it wasn't enough for us to enjoy our stay. A lot iof money spent and very disappointing!"

"Lovely place to stay but although 400 years old it’s like any other new hotel… This was the only thing that was disappointing as the staff and breakfast was lovely. It is also in the pedestrian zone so if you have lots of luggage it can be a tough walk."

"Tremendously good value … a short drive from the airport in a sleepy village. The riverside gardens are really delightful. Super quiet - except for the church bells, which go every 15 mins. But they may turn them off at night - either that, or I slept through them, "

They not only phoned around to find a close hotel with an opening for the night (as they were full that night), they got all of my luggage to the other hotel, gave me a complimentary drink, got my luggage back on my actual reservation day, and gave me the best recommendations for food and coffee. "Pros: Spacious clean room with kitchenette. Friendly, helpful staff. Many breakfast options with cooked to order eggs. Good location for walking around the city. Cons: Hairdryer mounted too high. Rainfall shower head not good if you don’t want to wash your hair that day. Overall, would definitely stay here again."
