"This is a well restored old building with a nice large traditionally furnished room. There is no on site reception and there was only a link to an unhelpful answering service via the provided link. We found the direct number of the helpful owner on the web and key handover was unproblematic after speaking to him. Noise from an adjacent room is heard loudly. Top Vogelsberg Mountains Hotel Reviews

Altstadthotel Arte

10/10 Excellent

"fantastic food"

Best Western Plus Hotel Steinsgarten

10/10 Excellent

"Great WiFi, clean room, helpful staff, wonderful selection at breakfast. Pool was lovely, towels available there. Outdoor seating was relaxing after a day of walking around the city. I wish they varied their selection of beers in the cooler as I find Jever too bitter. Bitburger or Licher preferred. Overall, a great experience and we would book there the next time we visit Gießen."

B&B HOTEL Fulda-City

10/10 Excellent

"Clerk allowed me to check my bag until check-in time and when I got back, was able to give me a room with a view of the city, which was fantastic! The hotel is just across the street from a small ring-street around the old city center, so very near to everything, but set apart enough that its upper stories (in a shared high-rise) have great views, which really are nice, especially at sunset. Hotel is impeccably clean and convenient, friendly staff, and a great breakfast buffet. The hotel is just a few small streets away from the historic center, but not in it (a relief from crowds), in a very picturesque city with endless restaurants and shops, but also baroque churches and historical buildings. I only had a day on a stopover but got the most out of it, many thanks to the hotel!"
