"The property was great, accessible, and in a good area. Always wonderful to find a good pet friendly hotel. The area around the property was very nice; walkable area with a park across the street and local stores all around. Limited parking, so need to check-in early next time. However, there is convenient street parking nearby. "

"The hotel was really nice. The outside could’ve been kept up. There was a lot of leaves and dirt and stuff outside our door and around the property and there were a lot of kids that checked in that were annoying but overall it was a great hotel."

"We have stayed at The Garland many times. Staff is friendly. Easy access from the freeway. Property is clean and well maintained. Family/pet friendly. The beds are comfortable and the rooms have always been clean. The restaurant is consistently good and the trolley to Universal Studios is an added bonus. Highly recommend. "

"The morning auditor was so nice, I think her name was Aurelie. We forgot something in the room after checkout and she went above and beyond to help us get it back. Really recommend how pretty this hotel was! Plus underground parking? Bonus! Didn’t like they charged, but it’s worth it. Will be coming back soon"

"Really cool small boutique hotel with a beautiful pool area - great music playing but perfect volume - I worked out there all day for my lounger chair and it was amazing. The staff were really friendly in the room was clean and very comfortable. The food and drinks were great although it’s random when they serve food and when they don’t, I didn’t actually figure that out, but when they did serve food, it was delicious. I highly recommend. It’s a great place to stay very personal."

"Clean grounds and room. Pretty basic but keeps the 1960’s road trip vibe. Staff is very nice and helpful. Pool is very retro cool with mid-century style furniture. Only thing I really disliked was charging $11 for parking in an open motel lot, and every hotel in LA thinks this is ok to do…and it is not, at least to me, paying $200+ for a room that has less amenities than a Motel 6. Not much around it as far as restaurants and stores unless you want to put on your hiking shoes and walk 1/2 mile...
