The host was welcoming & friendly and very informative, helping us with suggestions of restaurants and sites to see as well as some history on her home which has been in her family for 18 generations. Having come from busy, crowded and loud Paris (which we loved as well), Château de la Giraudière was exactly what we needed next; quiet, fresh air and a small village environment. "An absolute gem in the Loire Valley! This place is ideally located for exploring the beautiful Châteaux de la Loire. The property itself is absolutely stunning, incredibly peaceful, and decorated with immense taste. We loved the numerous pieces of artwork beautifully displayed throughout our room, the common areas, and even outside in the gardens! The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the entire place is well-appointed and thoughtfully designed. Another huge plus is the fantastic family...

"Das Hotel ist ansprechend, nicht so 08 15 wie manche. Die Sauberkeit im Zimmer liess ziemlich zu wünschen übrig. Unter dem Bett hatte es gut sichtbar, "Staubmäuse: Das Frühstück war ok, das Personal nett."

"Could not beat the location, absolutely stunning. Our room was also top drawer. However, dinner was mediocre, waiting staff were poorly trained. Breakfast was poor, again few staff, not attentive and food choices were very limited. I had to chase 3 times to order a simple omelette and it was not busy or peak season. Overall beautiful setting which promised highly but service did not deliver and certainly not aligned to the price paid"

"This hotel is located a bit outside of Blois in a rather commercial area, and thus had limited options for dining. We went in to town to do so and look at the Chateau. The room is your basic chain room. I would not hesitate to stay the night there again while traveling through, though it i not the place for multiple nights if you plan to stay in the room."
