"When we arrived there was no way to get in and only a message at the front door in Italian. Unfortunately we don't speak much Italian.I had to go searching around the property until I eventually found someone to let us in. We had booked the accommodation because they advertised a restaurant, which meant we wouldn't have to go out after a long drive from Paris. We were advised a day or so before that the restaurant wouldn't be available, too late to rebook. We went to bed without eating and lay...

"Albergo bello e confortevole personale gentilissimo, un po lunga l’attesa per la cena (circa un ora dall’ordine all’arrivo dei piatti)…"

"I booked for six (4 adults and 2 children), when we arrived they only had accommodation for 4 (1 double bed and 2 singles) however the booking by Expedia confirmed 2 double beds and 2 single beds and accepted the booking for six occupants. "The photos online do not do this place justice. Philippe runs a truly lovely place for a stay in Aosta! He provided us with some information/history of his house and the room itself was very cosy and spacious. On top of that, the view out our window was breathtaking. If I’m ever back, we will for sure be booking here again! Thank you Philippe"

"A simple, clean place in the upper village on the hillside, about 2 km from Aosta. You’ll need to drive or take a bus to get there unless you’re traveling light and don’t mind a bit of hiking. My room was nice overall, but the wall socket wasn’t working properly, so I had to keep holding the kettle plug in place for several minutes to boil water. The bathtub plug was also missing, so the bath couldn’t be used."
