We stayed for one night before we checked into our villa for our wedding. It was good for the most part, except the elevator being out of order and them putting us on that floor where it didn’t work. Three nights later we came to visit some friends who were here for our wedding and staying at El Blok. The lady at the hostess stand threatened to kick our friend out of the hotel if we went up to her room and saw it briefly. She was incredibly rude to us and our friend, despite us being the reason 6 people stayed there for almost a week. After that treatment, we won’t be back. I’d recommend checking out any of the dozens of other options that are just as nice and will treat you with kindness and respect. Casa de Amistad is a better option. El Blok is not it.

Best hotel on the island. Keep in mind only the hotel rooms are air conditioned. They are strict with can’t check in any time before 4 and much be out not later than 12. Transportation is very limited on Sundays and Monday (not sure about other days because we were only there those 2 days). Bar, restaurant and rooftop service is also very limited. But Sunday Funday after 6 was extremely nice. Prefect for sunset, great music and really good strong drinks. They had elevator issues so we had to use the stairs a lot which was a huge inconvenience.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful rooftop bar w hot tub. It's location is prime to the beach, lots of food different food options, and transportation options. The restaurant in the hotel was also excellent. Was able to rent an atv and explore about 5 different beaches on the island, and make it to the Crab Rum distillery on just a half tank of gas.

This place was so pretty and cool! We really enjoyed the rooftop. It’s also walking distance to the Bio Bays tours and a bunch of nice restaurants. Would definitely come back and stay here again!

Very nice staff. Rooms are basic but well designed. Enjoyed the balcony. Complimentary morning coffee and water filling station on second floor. The rooftop is beautiful and open 24 hrs, even when the bar is closed up there. Walkable to many restaurants and bars. Can hear some of the street noise (or loud car radios) from our room but we could sleep through it. Would recommend.

Nice hotel but a disappointing experience
We chose this hotel because it received consistently high ratings, had a well-regarded restaurant in-house and was conveniently located for the activities we wanted to do while in Vieques. The location is indeed very convenient. It's right across the street from the pier and beaches and our tour operators picked us up right in front of the hotel. It was also in very good condition andthe views from the rooftop terrace amazing. The less-than-great parts were that the restaurant hotel, which we really needed given the variability in local food options, was closed the entire time we stayed there. The restaurant and rooftop bar are only open Thursday through Monday, and there is no breakfast food or beverages of any kind on site other than water and ok coffee on the morning. Our primary disappointment about our stay was the attitude of the front desk staff, who to a person acted like we were inconveniencing them from the time we checked in until we left. It is for this reason alone that w will stay somewhere else the next time we visit Vieques. I guess the digital bracelet room keys were novel.

Hi Tiffany, i'm so sorry to hear about your experience with our staff at the front desk. This is the opposite of most of the feedback we receive about that crew and so I will be sharing your words with them to see what happened and how we can improve our interactions with guests. As for the restaurant hours, unfortunately due to staffing and also simply just the number of options available in Vieques versus demand, every restaurant on island with the exception of one or two closes for two days a week. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the days that have made sense for us from a business perspective over time and we do try to communicate this information in the pre-booking info as well as our confirmation emails, etc but I will review the way sites like expedia are presenting this to make sure potential guests can make an informed decision before booking so as not to be dissappointed. Again, my deepest apologies that your stay was less than stellar. Please consider us again should you make it back to the island and I promise your experience will be a better one. Way overpriced. No dinning available, no rooftop bar available. nothing at all to do here except sleep. I excepted a bit more bang for this overpriced hotel. The hot water is sketchy at best, we were given some advice on how to get hot water in the shower, which had something to do with turning on the sink first. The positive, the building and rooms are trendy and nice to look at.

Because we are a small property on a small island, it is simply not feasible for us to open all of our outlets 7 days a week. Placita, our restaurant, is open Thursday-Monday for dinner and on Sundays for Brunch and the rooftop bar is currently open on Sundays. While we make sure this information is always up to date on third party booking sites like Expedia as well as via google and our own website so that prosepctive guests are aware prior to booking and then again in the three pre-stay emails we send, we will be reviewing all of these placements to ensure that this information is super clear so that there are no surprises. We hope that you visit us again should you make it back to Vieques, and please remember to check the above for outlet hours of operation. Have a great day!

Easy to find, easy parking across the street- no issues. Safe area. Hotel is fun and clean. Ice cold AC in the room and comfortable bed made for a great night sleep after beach hopping and snorkeling all day. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again 100%

It's important to remember that Vieques is small and there aren't that many options. I had a positive stay here. Lady at the front is super cheerful and helpful! This hotel has a personality and style of its own! It's super chic. You can rent beach chairs and towels which are fashionable and a reflection of their unique style. They also provide wristbands that are waterproof and serve as your room key as well- how innovative??? You can watch the sunset on the rooftop! There is complimentary coffee in the morning, both hot and iced with a variety of milks to choose from. Some negatives...no public bathroom downstairs. The restaurant downstairs has limited days. There is no television in the room. We found a lizard in our room which was still there after cleaning came in and made our bed. The jacuzzi on the roof had two warning signs, 1. the water hadn't been changed in 10 days and 2. the filter needed to be replaced.

Upscale Beach Hotel
This hotel is very cute and boutique-like experience. It was also very CLEAN! The room was quite large and we had a large balcony with an outdoor shower… essential for a beach trip. The bedding and towels were all very clean. They had great products in the bathroom and a STEAMER! The roof had a jacuzzi which was perfect for watching the sunset and a night cap. There was a bar on the roof but it wasn’t open the nights we were staying. The restaurant downstairs was top tier. We had no trouble walking in even though they recommended a reservation. They offer free towels and chairs for the beach which were both good quality/condition. We felt safe and welcome. Would definitely recommend. It is across the street from a beautiful beach and at the beginning of a street with a few restaurants and bars. Plenty of parking around the property.
