Best Western Plus Poitiers Centre Le Grand Hotel

"Fabulous location and just next door was a wonderful restaurant, but they were so under-staffed, the waiters literally ran through the restaurant to serve the people on the little deck in front of it and sitting out under the lights in the center of a square. The parking garage was tiny and intense. We felt certain that we must have gone into the wrong one. It was like someone's personal basement. We were deliberating on what to do and the nice young man at the front desk saw us and showed us where to park. It was a little disconcerting for him to tell us that he goes off duty at 7, so we needed to remember the code to get back in, but it worked. Our room was completely pink - walls and doors. Our room was over the next door restaurant so we heard kitchen noise, but it wasn't bad. There was no A/C and the day had gotten a little warm, so we wanted to suck in as much cool air as we could before we closed the window."

"We were welcomed by reception who had reserved a car parking space for us. The room was very comfortable with adequate amenities. The breakfast had every possible combination one could ever want and the person in charge very helpful. The position of the hotel near the centre of Poitier very good for visiting the historic centre."
