The hotel was fine for the budget range however the shower was cold most days after 1 minute and stayed cold. there was a building site next door which we were not told about when booking and the workmen actually start work at 6:30 am Monday to Friday

Cheap and convenient. Less than 10 mins into the city centre using the metro from Prater. Room was quite large with a shower cubicle within the room. Breakfast plentiful and self serve.

Great place to stay
Fantastic location a short walk from the subway. Very helpful staff with great English. The shower was in the bedroom which may be an issue for some people. Breakfast is only cold food.

No business or tourists like hotels and expect your stays more like staying in the hostel. I can even hear all the noises from the next room occupants. The beds are more like narrow miniature size beds, the room had no dryers, no closets, no ironing sets, no fridge, no coffee makers. And it was a zoo like experience during breakfast hours. The food was more like school cafeteria setting. 30 seats and 150 people cramming in. The room I stayed was no air conditioning ( yes, I left the windows open all day and all night) and it feels so hot during the summer season. Sachet hotel is 5 star hotel and IBIS HOTEL is more like -5 (minus 5) star hotel. The place is more for English hooligans and European back packers.

My room was stuffy and the A/C wasn't working. The next morning i went and talked to the front desk and they told me the hotel doesnt turn the A/C on till June. The hotel is clean. Don't waste the $10 on the breakfast. You'll get a cheaper and better breakfast at the McDonald's or grocery store down the street.

Staff is friendly and help you with questions. The room was very simple but okay. The bed wasn't that good and I only had around 1 minute of warm water in the shower before it turned cold again, which was a shame.

Basic, modern, shower cubicle in room not so bad if with the wife but so not ideal if with a friend or like me my daughter so had to vacate the room anytime the other wanted to use the shower, comfortable bed but only one sad pillow so stiff neck after first night requested another at reception to be told there’s no extra pillows available so had to have another night of uncomfortable sleep with the sad pillow, near to public transport which was good and literally 30 min pleasant walk gets you into the town centre… great city would do again not so sure about the ibis budget though.

Budget isn't necessarily a bad thing!
I think some of the reviews are pretty harsh. It is listed as a budget hotel and that's what you get. Staff are friendly enough and the room for me was decently soundproofed. I travelled solo so the strange room layout (toilet separate but shower and sink in room) didn't bother me. Some complained about the water leaking from the shower but I didn't have this problem as I simply removed drain cap. All in all I would stay here again as it was value for money and is centrally located to both the metro and train station. There are also sooo many restaurants and supermarkets located within 5 mins walk

The service gets worse each time. There was no Internet in rooms for 2 days. A sign placed on the door indicating no service for my room was promptly ignored by the guy cleaning rooms. As soon as I left my room an attendant entered to search. On another morning, they are beating down my room door before 8 am

Perfect base for visiting in and around Vienna
This place was perfect for me for a solo stay. I hadn't quite realised that the shower is IN the room, so maybe don't visit with people you don't want to shower in the same room as. The location is very convenient for the U1 underground which goes straight into the centre of the city. It's also walkable. The room had everything I needed, was spacious and bright. A few tired corners but in generally excellent condition. My only niggle was that the sensor light in the loo turned off after about 30 seconds which was annoying.

Very clean comfy stay, well worth the cheap amount
Hotel was clean and comfy, bed was a little hard but far better than expected for a cheap hotel. I would not have chosen this unless I was in a couple as the shower is Not hidden from the bed, and the loo does not lock, however this was no problem for us, if I was with anyone else it would have been awkward.
