I took my wife with me on a Business trip and booked this hotel; it was close to the city centre and looked of good quality. The hotel-arranged airport transfer was efficient and the initial check-in procedure was smooth, although not overtly inviting.
I had booked a Deluxe Room with Courtyard view (Room 230) but, as we arrived in the dark it was only in the morning we discovered the Courtyard was actually a view towards 3 concrete walls (see photo). The room itself with its Jesper Conran influenced design was clean, spacious and functional, but not necessarily comfortable. The remainder of the hotel was fairly modern in its decor and design.
My wife has a Gluten and Soya allergy, which I had forgotten to inform the hotel of in advance; the provision of suitable food at breakfast and in the restaurant was minimal. During one lunchtime she ordered the only available meal (soup), which came with ordinary bread!! The daily cleaning occurred very late in the afternoon and the toiletries were not replenished unless specifically requested, even though there was dual occupancy.
Surprisingly, the room had virtually no hotel information, nor a room service menu. On the one evening we did have room service we had to first obtain a restaurant menu, but the food ordered was delivered efficiently and good standard.
The hotel compensated for the issues with a bottle of Prosecco and fruit bowl; however, the overall experience, which we were looking forward to, was disappointing.
