Very convenient downtown location however if you have a room on the side of the street it is very noisy with traffic. Air conditioning is not good. Hotel is well kept and clean.

A good location for walking downtown. Parking is very limited under the hotel with very tight spaces. Can be difficult for larger cars to squeeze into. Once parked recommended to leave the car and walk or take a bus around town. No airconditioning, can get stuffy and is noisy if windows are opened.

We appreciate your feedback. Although there aren't individual a/c units in each room, the hotel does have a 'central air system' (vent located on wall in room). A fan is provided in each room as well. Thanks for staying with us!

It’s a very basic hotel, much more than I expected. There is no air conditioning so quite uncomfortable on hot nights. There was a patio door but no screen so not great for bugs, birds…. The price in no way reflects this property.

Clean, affordable, spacious. Walkable distance from government street/ legislative parliament etc so very convenient. The staff were very helpful and told us where we should visit in Victoria and how to get there. The shower was a little weak, and the shampoo/conditioner provided weren’t great so it’d be best to bring your own.

rooms don't get maid service on an extended stay , even though the front desk promised a tidy. the walls are paper thin so you hear conversations from both sides. Staff was very friendly. The underground parking is very small and tight parking spaces.

The room was clean and calm. This hotel is walking diatance to most thjngs in downtown Victoria. Safe underground parking(fcfs), pool, and ice machine.

Thanks for your feedback! Our parking is gated/underground which helps our guests not worry about their vehicle while staying at the hotel. Our swimming pool has also been recently updated/re-furbished.

Thanks for your feedback. The pub/restaurant (Smith's) that is attached to our hotel closed for business recently. There are however several great restaurant options within a couple blocks of the hotel (eg. Cora's, Blue Fox).

It’s such a noisy area and the room has very bad sound proof. You can hear your neighbours talking and the music downstairs at the pub. Someone lives by our room coughed all night like he is gonna die or something. The shower and hand wash area is crappy, the water does not come out smooth and straight seems like something stuck inside or the head is broken. Over 200cad per night? It’s more like an 100 or less worth of experience. The staff is professional and friendly and bed sheets is clean and that’s the only good part.

Nice basic room. Right in the heart of Victoria and great price. Not a big fan of the extra 20$ for a pet stay. Sandman Inn doesn’t charge.

I got charged for two rooms . I was not told until I checked in . I had to pay for two rooms even though they didn’t give me the keys to my other room I paid for. The bedrooms were not clean the room quality was bad and the noise was super loud . Worst place I have ever stayed in. I do not recommend this place to anyone .

The second room was booked and paid for with another third-party company, which you have reached out to unsuccessfully for a refund, of which we have no involvement and were not privy to any of your information, including the credit card. We are disappointed to hear your room feedback, as this was not brought up at departure when trying to help resolve your double booking issues, in fact, you praised our customer service in trying to help resolve your problem.Nevertheless, thank you for your stay and feedback!
