this is hands down the best hotel we have ever stayed at in Europe. My son and I have been traveling for over 2 months. We have stayed at dozens of properties. This hotel was so welcoming and convenient. The front desk staff went above and beyond to help us get information regarding tickets for the Palace of Versailles. She offered to Google our walk back to The train station after our stay. Their breakfast is excellent. They bring your drinks to the table and you go up to a buffet for breakfast. It has all the usual offerings but of better quality. Instead of shoeing flies away from a 2 gallon container of yogurt, picking up a handle that dozens of other travelers have used before you, and flopping it into a bowl that's been sitting face up for who knows how long. You go to a tray with generous pots of yogurt covered by cling wrap. Instead of a gallon can of fruit cocktail, they serve fresh cut fruit in individual containers as well. Our room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. If you're looking for a Fancy place where the furniture is completely up-to-date and matching then this is not the place for you. If you want something that feels like your own bedroom with plenty of places to store your stuff then hotel D"Angleterre will be just right for you. The bathroom was also spacious with a lovely double window that could be open for ventilation. They also had a bathtub. That's not something often seen at this price point. We loved everything about this hotel.

Great little hotel... rooms are small but well kept. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The property does not have an elevator and you will have to carry your own bags up.

Never again!
Very poor, The bedroom door would not open properly due to the bed,The toilet lid would not stay up, the carpet was stained, the shower head was broken, the toilet soil pipe was dirty/rusty? On the other hand the staff were very polite and helpful. I asked for a room upgrade or another room but there were no vacancies, and the surrounding hotels had no vacancies either so we had to stay! I have photos of the room but this site would not let me upload them?

Excellent Versailles Hotel
I loved this hotel. It was within less then a 10 minute walk of Chateau Versailles. It was safe, clean, comfortable cute room for a very good price. The front desk staff was kind and considerate. Breakfast was available. WIFI was also included. Exceptionally pleased with this stay.

I highly recommend this place. I only stayed for 3 nights.... But I hope I could have stayed longer. Ideal location (probably the closest hotel to Versailles Castle) in a very central but quiet street. The room was ""modest"" but perfect, super clean, with the window on an indoor courtyard. Very friendly staff. Best price (2 stars) but if charm can be counted, it should be - at least - a 3 star hotel. I am normally picky.... But I cant find one negative side to this little hotel. If you want a charming hotel (just at the corner historical Jeu de Paume where the French Revolution started), this is the place to go

First of all the property doesn’t have parking, you can park your car in the garage at the Cathedral , but it’s not cheap. The hotel is clean, great location.The man at the Reception doesn’t speak English, not too friendly.

If you are planning to visit the Palace of Versailles, this location (and price) cannot be beat. It is walking distance to the palace and to a charming walking street with lots of great restaurants and cafes. This is a no frills hotel that could use updating, but it was clean and the staff was very kind, friendly, accommodating, and helpful.

Hotel with excellent location
This hotel has a really good location. A few minutes from palace, restaurants, shopping and car park. Ideal for short stop over. Quiet room. Bathroom small but plenty of sink top space for items. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Parking at the Catherdrale underground parking clean and secure. Usual costs for city centre parking around 22 euros a day. The only small downside on the room was the small double bed, no hairdryer.

Overall it was a pleasant stay. Room were very clean and modern. Bed was very comfortable. Our room was spacious. The only thing missing was a safety locker in the room. There was no coffee machine or refrigerator in the room which was inconvenient. Staff was very friendly and cooperative. Besides the missing amenities, we enjoyed our stay.

Canadians take road trip through France
The Palace of Versailles is about a 5 - 10 minute walk from the Hotel, so it is an ideal place to stay for a tour of this amazing building. The neighbourhood is friendly with restaurants of all sorts - Chinese, Italian, American, and many others (even French). Staff were very friendly and accommodating and spoke fluent english. Rooms are small but adequate. It is a short walk to the train station for a trip into Paris or other parts beyond. There seems to be no Air conditioning but the evenings were cool so we were comfortable.

We loved this hotel. Our room and bathrooms were big compared to all hotels we have checked in in our trip to France. It’s just around the corner from Versalles Palace many restaurants around. There are 3 train stations close to hotel. I only wished they had more comfortable pillows. My granddaughter like them though.

This hotel was was perfect for 3 people and so close to walking to Versailles and restaurants. But on a quiet side street. We were lucky and found parking on the street across from hotel. The staff spoke English and were very helpful. I would have liked to stay more than one night.

Wonderful and friendly hotel perfectly located.
Wonderful little hotel in downtown Versailles minutes from the palace that was perfect for my two kids and I. We stayed in the triple which was accommodating and comfortable but a little cramped with three twin beds in the room. The room was clean and had everything you needed and the receptionist was very helpful. Despite our ground floor location we had a quiet night.

Good Family hotel for visit to Versailles
Very nice hotel with friendly service. Very convenient to chateau, good restaurants and Versailles chattier train station. Room was very clean and bathroom small but clean and fine. Quiet.

Extremely close to Versailles and train. Comfortable rooms and beds. Wonderful 24 hour staff. Breakfast not worth the money but plenty of restaurants nearby.

Location is all
The hotel is very close to the Palace of Versailles and this is its key attribute. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean, if a little tired. The bed was comfortable but the lack of air conditioning made sleeping difficult in very hot weather. Parking is not available at the hotel and nearby underground car parks have poor reviews for access and size of space. The Indigo car park is not close but has good access and more space. Driving to the hotel to drop bags is tricky due to the one way system.

I found your rating a little harsh, considering lack of parking is not of our doing, nor is the lack of A/C as our building is historically classified, thus not allowing us to do the works. We hope your stay went well nonetheless.

Road trip stop off
One night stay as part of a longer road trip. Amazing location the place of versaille is at the end of the road. Train station is a 5minute walk and straight in to Paris! The rooms themselves were amazing very comfortable bed bathrooms could have done with modernising and the shower works but the height could not be changed so was stuck at hip height for me.

very close to the palace. i was unaware that there was no AC so we has to leave the window open which interfered with my sleep due to noise (motorbike speeding down the street at 8:30am). the room next to us had a balcony and they smoked and it came directly into our room and was very disgusting and gave me a headache. The staff was very friendly but one member in particular could not understand english very well and it is advertised that english is spoken at this hotel. the room was clean and the bed was comfortable but there were only 2 pillows which was a nuisance

Two stars and one of the Best!
This hotel was inexpensive, well located for walking to the Palace and also an easy walk to the railway station Rive Gauche. Our room looked to be freshly renovated, not big but two lovely big french doors giving us lots of light. Breakfast was a classic french breakfast, shame the coffee was not a bit better. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

A great choice in a great location.
An excellent location on a quiet street, easy walking to both the palace and the main pedestrian street of restaurants. The staff were very helpful allowing us to store our luggage while visiting the palace. We parked in a nearby underground car park for the overnight stay. The room was spotless and comfortable, and a superb buffet breakfast.

The place was fantastic in every way. Right near Chateau Versailles. So inexpensive, incredible bargain. Traditional building, modern rooms and adorable. Clean. And the staff are all literally the nicest people on earth.
