Top Varoš Hotel Reviews

Boutique Hotel Luxe

10/10 Excellent

"The room was clean and the breakfast was impeccable. The location was great being close to the ferry port. The one obstacle was a long walk uphill from the bus terminal to the hotel. It was great coming down hill to catch the ferry to Split."

Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Split

8/10 Good

"Very nice accommodation and nice breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We went from the 10th October and had nice weather and swam in the sea. However the beach bar and outdoor pool had closed, shortly after arrival. So for some late sun, I would recommend late September, first weel of October to get the full use of facilities."

Zephyrus Boutique Accommodation

10/10 Excellent

"It’s important to mention I am a solo female traveler and this was my first stay outside of the US. Let me tell you it was an amazing first trip. Marijana was an amazing host. She set up a driver to meet me at the gate with my name on a paper. She even met me at the end of the top of the street and helped me with my bags. She gave me a map and showed me some great places to go within walking distance. She also left some great notes in the room about some local markets and such, and checked in with me once a day to make sure I didn’t need anything. Then she set up a transfer to go back to the airport at the end of the hill. My room was perfect I stayed in the double room in the courtyard. The breeze was perfect and I slept the best I had in years. Everything was clean. I accidentally left my keys in my door one night and it was no big deal. I stopped using maps on my phone after the first day. There is one street that allows you to walk clear to the other side of Old Town and by the palace and once you learn that you can’t get lost. I felt safe day and night walking the streets alone without knowing the language. So if you’re a single traveler or more you should stay here. No regrets and already talking to a friend about how she should stay here too. Thanks for reading my rant! Pro tip: all you need is a comfy pair of shoes that you can walk hours in any other pair isn’t worth the time."

Amphora Hotel

8/10 Good

"We stayed at the Amphora in October break which meant the hotel was relatively quiet, it appeared as if they’d reduced the staff. The main restaurant disappointingly was closed, we were served in the breakfast room by a single waiter who was unable to cope with demand - food there was not great. Location is fine as long as your either up for a long but pleasant walk or happy to take a taxi, beware some of the local taxis are fierce at overcharging €95 for 2 miles from port to hotel - after that one I used Uber for everything which was good. The promenade and beach were excellent. Spa facilities were good easy to access with capacity in October, would be interesting in August. Room was nice and clean with amazing view of Adriatic Sea from balcony. Overall I would recommend staying in the hotel and eating out, Split city was very interesting with nice cafes and restaurants"

Divota Apartment Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Loved this property. We were lucky enough to be upgraded and had a balcony which was lovely to sit and play cards with a drink. There was also a washing machine and a couple of all in one tabs which was helpful. Very central but also easy to park close by. As this was an apartment, we could have cooked, everything was provided, as well as a coffee machine. Couldn’t fault it at all. Breakfast was up the road in a small cafe, also nice"

Sperone Luxury Accommodation

10/10 Excellent

"Loved the location and charm of the Sperone! We felt we could access everything in Split easily and loved being near/in Old Town Split. Great access to Marjan Hill, the Rive, Diocletian's Palace, and the port. We opted for the penthouse and while it was a 4 story climb, staff were very helpful assisting with luggage and we thoroughly enjoyed the extra space and balcony. One note, the bathroom is only separated by a curtain, so if privacy is an issue/concern, be aware."
