Clean and friendly

Excellent service, very clean, sack breakfast provided instead because of covid. Definitely will stay again. Also, love the color colors in room 123, super cute!

Terrible customer service

Had a family emergency and the hotel would never even respond to emails about cancelling, even with 2wks notice. So I ended up paying for the 4 night stay and not even going. TERRIBLE customer service. Found out the hotel is in a terrible part of town with homeless people and drug dealers hanging in the park lot. So probably a blessing in disguise. Buyer beware. Do alot of research if you decide to stay here

Our room was disgusting to say the least. There was a "Wand" from someone's facial hair bleaching on the side counter by the sink. There was a very long hair on the sheet of my sister's bed. There were white stains on the curtains. the shower had a 1 inch opening at the bottom which resulted in leakage onto the floor. Out original room was 115 but then Phyllis at the front desk gave us room 123. It had what appeared to be animal hairs on the chair. It also stank of animal. The only bright spot in our visit was Phyllis. She was personable and very helpful. She is to be commended for a job well done. But...your housekeeping staff needs a revamp. All in all, we were most unhappy with our stay.

Disgusted still waiting for refund i was promised

I just feel so ripped off and totally humiliated by this Howard Johnson location. I would not have treated a yucky dirty BUG 🐛 the way that I've been treated here nor would I force that yucky insect to sleep in a room that was in this condition. I mean honestly it was past 2am and i was calling and chatting with hotels.com to get a refund due to the horrible treatment from staff when trying to check in to my already paid for room, which took over 4 hours before I was finally allowed to get in the room due to the receptionist refusing to let me stay over a deposit issue that was not listed anywhere on the site. Once in the room i was stressed even more due to the room being dirty and just down right gross. And to top it all off while checking out to leave for my brothers funeral service they made up some crazy excuse as to why they were not going to reimburse my $100 deposit, and told me that i should be ashamed for trying to get my money refunded by talking to hotel.com agent about the room and horrible treatment from the staff at the hotel.

LOCATION GREAT !

THE HOTEL HAS A GREAT LOCATION. GREAT GRAB AND GO BREAKFAST ! LOTS OF COFFEE WAS WELCOME FOR ME ! LOTS OF LADIES SPRAYING ,AND CLEANING. I PLAN TO GO BACK NEXT MONTH.

This is my second time to stay here. I was here in June. We were taking care of family business. This place is perfect. Beds were great. Location was great. Walk to the mall. Always felt safe.

Good Place for a Good Night's Sleep

Hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and efficient. Location is a bit out of the way and there isn't much to do in the area--particularly with Covid-19 shutdowns in effect. Breakfast was served in a bag due to Covid-19: bagel and cream cheese, crackers, yogurt and fruit cocktail. I would recommend this location as a good place to get a good night of sleep. If you are looking to spend some time in Portland, you should think about staying somewhere else.
