"The kitchen was too small to use, the balcony door was unable to close at the top, there were bugs in the room and the room was dirty in the corners and under the bed. No power outlets by the bed, all switches were at one place at the entrance. Location was fine, but that’s about it. "

"Beautifully clean apart/hotel. Rooms in newly decorated condition and facilities spotless. Friendly staff who despite our poor efforts at speaking French made every effort not to make us feel awkward. Our only criticism, and it is a minor issue, is that there was no English type tea! "We spent 10 days at la RĂ©sidence Les embruns in September, and we loved it. It's an older property that would benefit from some renovations and updates (like a fresh coat of paint all over). That said, it's very close to the wonderful beach, and also services like a grocery store (Carrefour Market). Carole at the reception desk is a pleasure to deal with. Downtown is about one kilometre away, an easy and pleasant walk. Very recommended."

"The whole complex is very nice and the pool is great. The pool has a sliding cover that the managers close during the chilly nights at the end of summer to keep the water warm. The two towns nearby, Villers-Sur-Mer and Houlgate, have superb beaches and amazing restaurants."
