"My stay was better than expected. In other reviews, there were complaints about the room being small but it wasn’t at all. The hotel is nicely updated and very clean. The staff was very accommodating in helping to set up a taxi to the airport. The bar next door was a bit rambunctious late in the night. If you’re light sleeper, good ear plugs would definitely help cancel out the patrons at the bar, which is not the fault of the hotel. Other than that, the location was great."

"Bedbugs!!! We stayed here one night prior to going to our luxury resort in Bora Bora. The wife and I stayed in separate beds. Three days later I developed horrible itching lesions that are consistent with bedbug bites. My wife never developed any and we stayed in the same bed at our subsequent resort. She never had any type of bite marks, do they must have been in my bed at this hotel. The timing works out."

"What a beautiful place to land when flying into Papeete! Valerie the owner was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed at all times! Only wish we had booked a longer stay! The wonderful breakfast in the morning and quiet area with beautiful ocean views was fantastic! Was a little hard to find in the dark, but a wonderful home feel with good air conditioning, swimming pool daily breakfast and family charm!"

"An excellent hotel downtown Papeete right across the road from the ferry terminal and close to everything you need. The hotel is very clean, the room was spacious, including a kitchenette and a table, balcony overlooking the port. The staff were polite and helpful. The restaurant on the top floor was also excellent, one of the best we went to in French Polynesia. The only shortcoming was that the stand-alone tub has no shower curtain, so if you are taking a shower it's difficult not to flood the bathroom."

"We recently stayed at this resort and had a mixed experience. The positives were definitely the friendly and welcoming staff, who were always pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. The beachfront location was beautiful, and having both a beach and a pool gave us plenty of options for relaxing. The happy hour was excellent and something we looked forward to each day. The resort grounds and gardens were absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained. We also appreciated that towels were provided for both the beach and pool, making things convenient. Unfortunately, there were several issues with our room. It was not as clean as we expected, the refrigerator did not work properly, and the hot tub on our balcony was not clean and appeared poorly maintained. We were also surprised that the room did not include a microwave, which would have been helpful during our stay. Another consideration is the location. While the setting is beautiful, it is not really within walking distance of shops, restaurants, or other attractions, so transportation is necessary. Overall, the resort has beautiful grounds, a great beach, and wonderful staff, but the room maintenance and cleanliness need improvement to match the otherwise pleasant experience."

"We loved this lodge! It has an incredible view from the balcony. We had the entire upstairs available to us, but only needed one of the two bedrooms, the bathroom & the use of the kettle & refrigerator. We had all we needed & more! The owner is very nice & she took great care of us while we were there. Highly recommend the TeMana Lodge!"
