"Whilst the unit was neat and tidy, the plates, glasses and cutlery were a mismatch of various styles. The TV could only be turned off by switching the power off which was located behind the wall mount."

"Rooms were small but very clean, beds very comfortable. Breakfast was included and was very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely location in a 1928 hotel. Highly recommend if you want a pleasant setting with some old worldly charm"

"We took room with an ensuite. While they're very small, it does the job. There is no a/C which we knew about, but thankfully it was a cool night or it'd be very hot. Winter has heating. Now, if you can sleep through trains, yep more than one at night, then definitely stay here. It's a great old style Scottish themed pub, yes it's creaky and like a rabbit warren finding rooms (not that hard, good signage) and the food was very good. Great price and worth the visit."
