Wake up to the sound of the waves
"The hotel is ina quiet part of Unawatuna. You wake to the sound of the waves. Peacocks and moneys are all around. The pool is lovely and restaurant has good food/ drinks and service. The reception staff were fabulous and took care of all my needs."

Lovely resort perfect balance. Lots of places to eat lovely beaches, lots to see nearby. Easy to get here by train from Colombo which is a 2 hour scenic ride for £1 with a seat.

Further you go south the finer the beaches Unawatuna itself is really for the younger generation
