Hi , I am very upset because I booked a room for Friday the 3rd of September at urban park, but urban park hotel is closed. I can’t understand why Expedia would allow me to book a room at urban park when they are closed. I would like a refund for the room I booked! It is unacceptable and unprofessional of Expedia to do that!
The hotel is closed and bookings are still being accepted, had arrived to the hotel to find everything removed from the lobby.

Disappointing
Due to Covid this hotel is taking strain. The room was clean and comfortable but maintenance has not been happening due to the impact of Covid. Sad because we have enjoyed staying here before. The restaurant has been closed since Covid so no breakfast available.
Lifts where out of order -check in person was kind to give closer available room.
Room was really difficult to find with no proper directions and lifts not working bearing in mind there is also a residential apartments in the building took approx 20mins to find room.
Had to go down and ask for towels and glassware which came after calling from room to find out 30mins later. No two pin plug in room after being assured there was one.
Service and experience definitely matched the price - low, however expected more from a huge establishment.
The overall stay was horrible. The apartment was filthy, there were towels in the bathrooms. The room was next to a very noisy road.. we couldn’t get a wink of sleep. The stove was broken and the fridge was not working. Really nothing good about this place

You can do better. I have seen it.
Overall my stay was comfortable. It is beautiful hotel with modern décor. I have stayed here before. However there were a few maintenance issues that need attention. The room I was in (405), the basin mixer leaks onto surface when turned on, causing damage to the cabinet and pieces falling off. The shower does not close easily. The main door lock had to be replaced on 1st day. The balcony sliding door jams halfway on opening. One morning we had shower on a different in a different room due to maintenance issues on the water on our floor. Also, I had to ask at reception to have someone remove garbage from the parking entrance that was lying there for 2 days.
Our stay was terrible , from the moment we arrived. The apartment is run down and filthy. Service is terrible. The so called "apartment" had not been cleaned. The room was not ready to check in to at 3pm. The apartment is run down and has not been maintained. The pictures shared on the site is not what it looks like in reality. So very disappointing. Really put a damper on our holiday. Would not recommend it !
So my fiance and I booked to stay at the hotel for 5 nights.
Upon arrival we were greeted at reception and given our room key. I asked for a porter which never arrived. We had to carry all our luggage.

Nor soo good please dont be fooled by pictures from the long waiting in reception to getting into not so clean room on arrival tried not to be dramatic bad smell in the toiler not so clean bedding until we found a glass with an old drink rusty and we had rash thrme next morning thats when i asked the receptionist to change us into another room.no iron was even offered when we had to rush somewhete we were told we need ti wait for 8 to be assisted...
I have stayed here before and my experience was okay for the most part. This time, for the first two days I wasn’t given a towel. I couldn’t call down to reception as they don’t leave the contact numbers visible. I am guessing this is due to covid but they can give their guests I piece of paper with contact numbers. There was no hand sanitizer at any of the elevator buttons. When I got there, I got to my floor and got out out of the lift I was greeted with a broken chair which remained there for the duration of my stay and the carpets were all stained. I am guessing that they are financially struggling at this time but the fact that simple
The check in precess was fine, the room was clean, but I can't adjust the air condition. The water was not hot enough for shwer.
After I had check out, the reception ask me for R7 tourism levy, which should be include in the room fee. It was the first time I have to pay extra levy with Hotel.com

I flew in for a party,so I booked late at night as my arrangement to stay with a friend fell flat :got them after midnight,they couldn’t find your booking
I had to charge my phone (battery had died),then send confirmation by email whilst feeling cold at reception
I went to my room (only snag:not clean under the bed!)around 1am,and left @7am:basically just needed a bed to sleep
Was I supposed to have been charged a full day rate?
Since the hotel has been taken over by Misty Blue the condition is disgusting. We arrive at 11pm after our flight was delayed, only to be told they can’t find out booking and then the guy at reception takes us to an apartment that Had cockroaches running around. We requested a refund and booked at the Town Lodge across the street!
The place was terribly dirty. The corridors the lift .......it was bad. I have stayed in the place few times before but my last visit was not a pleasant one. I was put in room 113 which had a leaking roof in the toilet and I was moved to a different room on the 4th floor and this floor was filthy for the entire duration of my stay. The lift was a problem it was super slow.....The couche in the lounge had a very ugly odour, like it has been used as a bed. One of the days I
was told by very disrespectful security to park my car on the street because the hotel parking was full. Overall i was not happy.
Not impressed with noise levels next to my room. Had to report them to management but it just continued. This is unacceptable behaviour and should not be allowed at such an upmarket hotel group.

Our room had an interleading door. You could hear everything in the room next door, There was a very loud group of guests next door so we were moved to another room. This was better but also had an interleading door and you could clearly hear the football match on the TV in the next room.
