STAY AT SLPENDID INN
I had an issue with the hot water. I reported same to the receptionist. He advised that the plumber confirmed that it was fine and that it was the pump that was affected due to load shedding. On Saturday the problem recurred and no one came to fix same. My room wasn’t cleaned either. Water was nit replaced and neither was clean cups replaced.

They have horrible service, from reception to housekeeping. Restaurant they have a good service. House keeping go through your suitcase when you're not in the room. We had to go out and buy soap because the housekeeping lady refused to give us 2 small bodywash. She gave us 1, imagine you use it in the morning and at night. The other time, she left nothing. we called reception, and they said they had no stock. They became angry when you requested service. It was my first time buying soap while i was in the hotel. Meat was not up to the hotel standard. It was not fresh at all. Massage i don't believe they were trained for the job they do. It's a good idea to have an in-house spa, but those ladies had no ideas on how to massage. Because of poor house keeping there small cockroches already. The hotel is beautiful, but we didn't receive value for our money, and for that, i don't believe i will book myself there again.

Wasn’t Happy with the AC It never cool the room and only feel cold when you in front of it. There was no TV remote and I booked 2 rooms and both rooms had same issue

Must stay in Umhlanga
One of the best hotels that I've visited. Friendly staff, rooms are beautiful and clean. With a lively Seaview from the room. It was quiet and relaxing.

The hotel cleanliness was excellent. If you booked on the top floor, driving up and down the ramps can be hazardous, no mirrors to see oncoming cars. Rooms are small. No caddy in the shower. Toilet directly behind the door and no door stopper so kept banking the toilet seat. Noise levels at night - unsatisfactory (partying). Staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Not bad not good. Hotel seems to be lacking something. Hotel room is large but sparsely decorated. No paintings on walls not even nice lamp or comfortable reclining chair even though there is ample space. 20 cm / very little space between wall and left hand side of bed. Friendly staff. Seems to attract rif raf occupants making noise until 1230am. Staff did not handle incident properly. Breakfast ice cold.
