I felt the vibe of tranquility as soon as i arrived to the property. I was welcome with a cold smoothie. The staff is very nice and polite. The food is amazing. I loved this place!

Relaxing comfortable stay, good for honeymooners
Very friendly and attentive staff, the flower bath and floating breakfast were lovely additions. Food options were plenty and delicious. They confirmed with their meat supplier that chicken and meat is halal. Shuttlebus takes 20 mins to Ubud central which is ideal for trips/dinner and a cheap taxi back if needed. Do recommend to others.

Overall it was a good stay. The only 2 negatives were: The toilets smelt terrible for the first few days until we asked them to do a deep clean, and there were several spiders in the corners of the cupboards which obviously don’t get cleaned/ dusted

Private poll was amazing, although water was a little cold as it was mainly in the shade. Some chlorine in the pool would have been preferable. Food was excellent, transport to Ubud town centre was complimentary and reliable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble to organise. Staff organised all our tours in advance with a private taxi driver, who was knowledgeable and helpful.

The Arena Resort is a wonderful place and the staff are amazing. The pools are both beautiful, and the in-house spa is a god-send. Although a little distant from the center of Ubud, the resort offers a convenient to-and-from shuttle a few times a day.

Arrived late night , beautiful room friendly staff, restaurant was closed, we were promised Honeymoon cake and welcome drinks, it was late at night so weren’t provided. Water pressure first day was low to none really, took us 45 minutes to take shower, beautifully decorated surely. Breakfast was beautiful. Booked massage wonderful masseuse great massage. Booked candle light dinner paid about, 2.2 million Rupiah(£130), again absolutely beautiful decorations but food was unexpectedly bland poor preparation and tasteless really, barely ate, most expensive meal of our lives. Didn’t say much at that time didn’t wanted to spoil mood of the special day. Paid for Decorations basically not for food. Airport pick up was 2.5 x time pricer than standard rate. We had good time but unfortunately prices we were charged as absurdly expensive and overpriced. Rather go to restaurant and order meal there , candle light dinner end up very bad experience.

Great service
Great service. One of us has a birthday and they gave us cake and "happy birthday" written from leaves on our room. Overall awesome place and service. The place is a bit hidden and the only room for improvement is that some of the staff didn't wear mask during pandemic time like this so it made me quite uncomfortable. Health protocol should be a priority.

Tge property was a really good choice. A small friendly place with very polite staff who were able to help and assist as necessary. Tge food was very good as was the spa. The tour booked with the hotel was excellent and driver also had enough knowkedge to give us background information to the places we visited.

I literally couldn’t rate the Alena any higher. I’ve stayed in plenty 5 star resorts around the globe and the Alena definitely towers above them. The staff are amazing and take a genuine interest in you, to ensure you’re time spent at the resort is perfect. They refer to them selves as a “home” which I can compete vouch for. Just beautiful.

The stay was amazing...the rooms, the service, the pool & Spa were great. They have multiple shuttles back and forth to Ubud centre. The only problem for vegetarians (no egg) was that there were not enough options during breakfast. Other than that everything was super.

Everything about this resort is very good with just one exception - the background music is too reptitive and after a couple of days started to irritate rather than calm. It is easily fixed by having more variety and switching it off from time to time.

Our favorite accomodations in Bali
Perfect location off the beaten path, in the fresh air green rice fields about ten minutes from Ubud center. Alena provides easy and free shuttle service is awesome!food is hands down outstanding here!!!

Small hotel with alot of care
We didnt stay long at the hotel & when we were there we were busy with tours. However during our short stay, the food was pretty good & the room was very comfortable & clean. The best part about this hotel is the customer service from the workers there. Very friendly & helpful :)

Great hotel and villa, friendly staff, good food
We came as a family of 3 with 6 months old baby. We have been given a suite but we were upgraded to the Villa. The Alena resort is simply amazing. The villa had private pool, big round bed, huge bath tub and sheltered outside seating area. We were grateful for their service and they will even bring you to your villa all the food and drinks you ask them for. Villa was always clean and was cleaned twice a day. Every day they replenish fresh fruits and in the afternoon they will bring you complimentary coffee or tea with dessert. The non-villa area is also very nice. The pool is surrounded by nice flowers and it is good area to chill and relax. Restaurant serves tasty food and food on your plate is always nicely arranged and worth the price. The area of the hotel is a question. I do not want to say it is not good but it is not best. We moved to Alena from another place in Ubud which was really in rice fields and you could walk out and enjoy village life. What surrounds Alena felt more like "rice paddies in decline". I did not join the morning hikes but I tried on my own just like I did it the days before moving to Alena. The other place, I could walk 5-6km in the rice fields but here I ended up after 600m not knowing where to go. And I tried both directions while the more distant direction where you need to cross the road is basically the same as the one closer to the hotel. But overall, I would highly recommend The Alena Resort. Big thanks to friendly staff!

The perfect get away location
Very friendly staff Exceptional service We stayed for 4 nights in the private villa with pool and found it hard to leave the room as we had everything we needed right there. Room was exceptional and always very clean Food in the restaurant was excellent with a wide range of choices available I would highly recommend this hotel and would advise upgrading to the villa with pool room

A little jewel outside of Ubud
The staff are some of the friendliest and most helpful you will find anywhere. The resort is wondefully peaceful, with a beautiful pool and thatched buildings surrounded by leafy jungle and rice paddies. The food is delightful and the cocktails to die for. The resort is located a short drive from Ubud, with transport accomplished by shuttle cars available every hour on request.

Das Resort liegt etwas außerhalb von Ubud City aber man braucht mit dem Shuttlebus nur ca. 15 Minuten. Wir hatten eine Luxuriöse Suite absolut perfekt. Toller Service in allen Bereichen, Restaurant hat eine sehr feine Küche! Wir würden in Ubud diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall wiederwählen! Wir haben uns auch andere Resorts direkt in Ubud bei angeschaut, auch super aber das Alena hat uns vom Flair her am Besten gefallen. Wer mal auswärts Essen gehen möchte, sollte unbedingt die Cantina und das Wildair in Betracht ziehen. Beide top!!! Frühstück hat ca. 6 verschiedene Wahlmenüs. Albergo non proprio in centro. Una navetta pero ti porta in centro ogni 30 minuti. Tutto il personale è molto gentile. Andate e vi sentirete a casa.

Ruhiges Hotel etwas abgelegen von Ubud
Das Hotel ist schön und ruhig gelegen. Für uns leider zu ruhig, um nach Ubud zu kommen braucht es jeweils einen Shuttlebus (20min), welcher vom Hotel stündlich angeboten wird ( braucht somit immer etwas Planung). Das Hotel ist kleiner als es auf den Bildern wirkt. Poolanlage ca. ab Mittag ziemlich schattig. Personal sehr freundlich, stellten manchmal zu viele Fragen. Frühstück sehr lecker und im schönen Ambiente. Das Hotel war für uns etwas überteuert, für Baliverhältnisse.

Super nice stay at Alena Ubud
We had 4 comfortable nights at the Alena Resort in Ubud. The rooms and the property are beautiful and super clean. The staff is so helpful and cares about your day trip plans. We enjoyed to be a bit outside of the crowded Ubud crentre. The provided shuttle service drives hourly. The breakfast was delicious. Absolutely recommendable hotel!

Eine kleine Oase in der Nähe von Ubud
Der Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet, auch das Bad. Der Pool ist angenehm, nicht sehr gross, bietet aber genügend Platz. Der Garten ist schön angelegt und gepflegt. Der dazugehörige Spa ist empfehlenswert. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und von hoher Qualität. Das Restaurant bietet eine gute Karte mit überraschenden und sehr guten Speisen. Stündlich gibt es einen Shuttle nach Ubud. Sämtliche Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. The Alena Resort könne nicht wir weiterempfehlen, man muss sich einfach bewusst sein, dass es in der unmittelbaren Nähe nichts zu unternehmen gibt. Ausflüge werden durch den Resort angeboten
