Although a slight walk from the restaurants, the property is very comfortable with very friendly staff. The food options are limited, but restaurants are plenty within 5 minutes walk. Loved the stay. Thank you to the wonderful staff.

Highly recommend this hotel to be a short walk from the North side if Ubud town, a pretty / clean pool, great view out the balcony or terrace, kind helpful staff, and Air conditioner and wifi that work well. My room had a mini-fridge and a desk to work as well. Perfect for longer stays.

It’s a great place. I loved the attention from all the staff specially from the manager. He was super nice, attentive and very professional. The down side of it, it is that they don’t give you wash towels neither hand towels. The breakfast is nice but very limited. Only 5 choices, same choices every single day. There are NOT vegetarian options. Only fruit smoothie, just one kind and maybe waffles. On the other hand, the alley that leads to the hotel is very dark at night. There are lots of pot holes and uneven ground that could easily lead to an accident.

I loved my stay at Swahita. I was here for a week and I would have extended my stay here gladly! The staff is amazing, so friendly and attentive. They remember your name and your schedule and habits and always make a point to personalize the interaction. The room was great, the bathroom was nice and the balcony views were private. The AC kept the room cool, and the pool was always to perfect temperature. The rooms are not the most sound proof, but it was never an issue at night. Walkable to the center of Ubud and close to many great restaurants, spas, and convenient stores. I felt safe walking home even after dark. Will definitely be back here ! Thank you

My experience in this hotel couldn’t be better. The staff was very welcoming and kindly, they really know how take care of us. Swimming pool is perfectly warm, you can have breakfast in the room with a beautiful view of the nature.

Great place to stay.
This is a family run hotel and the staff could not have been more friendly. They were always on hand to offer help and could not have done more to make our stay perfect. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the centre of Ubud but there are several places to ear within 10 minutes walk. The breakfasts were excellent, with 4 choices made fresh when you arrived at the table or they would deliver it to your room. We had a deluxe balcony room with a very comfortable bed. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

This place has excellent service. I think its Suntra, he was an amazing staff! Clean, walking distance for food and tourist place. The only complaint I have would be the thin walls. We could hear the neighbors Sametime

We had a great time staying here! The staff learned our names and asked us how we were doing and were always very helpful. There are several breakfast options and they were all good. We had a room with a balcony and the view was amazing! It is generally very quiet there-but it is a little further from the buzz of the city. It was easy to rent a motorbike and book the shuttle to and from the airport. The pool was very nice. We will stay here again if ever in Ubud in the future.

This was a hidden gem close to the action and main area of Ubud but secluded and quiet. The pool was amazing. The breakfast simple yet fresh and yummo. The staff were beautiful especially Agus he was very helpful, attentive and up for a conversation and a laugh. We loved the Swahita and will stay again in the future.

Bird watchers delight, We had a Javan Kingfisher nearly everyday outside our room, along with the Coucals who were hanging in the trees every day. The breakfast only had 1 option for us as we're vegetarian, so that was a bit annoying, But Ubud has some fantastic restaurants in the area, Namaskara down the road for food is awesome! Staff were super friendly, Rooms were a good size, Toilets worked, Balcony was decent, Pool was nice, Bed was good, Pillows good, We had some ants in the room, but the staff sprayed it and we never saw them again. I have one more complaint, albeit minor, I was trying to sleep at 9pm and the staff knocked on our door asking what we wanted for breakfast. This woke me up, and as we had already told them the "Free breakfast" didn't suit our dietary requirements, They kept trying to push us about the breakfast and wouldn't really take no for an answer. We ended up ordering a juice to get them to go away ;)

A lovely property with a view onto trees. About a 10 minute walk from the main street. Very quiet. Beautiful rooms - both rooms had sliding doors to a balcony and the stopper at one end of the doors in both rooms was missing which meant that even when the door was locked, the double doors could be slid to the side for access to the room. It was not a problem during our stay as no one entered our rooms, but something that Swahita might look at improving.

The location is allright but it’s quite a distance to walk to ubud market so we took gobike which is about 7 mins. The room seems musky and wet and moist especially the bed and blanket. Personally, my friend and i don’t sleep well for 2 nights. The service team is friendly and good.

This property itself is charming and lovely. My family of four was quite happy here and we had everything we needed and wanted including comfortable beds, a wonderful pool, a balcony overlooking the garden/jungle, and breakfast each morning. But it was the people - the staff - that took this place to a new level. Unbelievably friendly, helpful, accommodating, and genuinely kind. One morning we left at 2:15 am for Mt. Batur and there was actually someone there to see us off. They also answered my numerous questions about sightseeing, transportation etc. if hotel ratings were based solely on people, this one would take the cake.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at
This hotel was the worst part of my stay in Bali. I rate it one star for the AWFUL stinky bedsheets that reeked of the worst body odor I have ever smelled. They smelled like they were never washed, only heat dried. It was absolutely disgusting. It was so bad it made the mattress and pillow smelled, so changing the sheets only helped a little. Not only that, but the floor was so gross and humid every night and the A/C didn’t work. There were ants everywhere, including in my suitcase when I moved to a new hotel. I wish I had read the other negative reviews of this place because they were spot on. It sounds like the rooms on all the floors had this issue, but the worst is on the bottom. I’m pretty sure the bottled water was not filtered completely either because I had travelers diarrhea everyday until I moved to a new hotel when I was no longer drinking that bottled water. Other cons: No hair conditioner, hair dryer, iron, or full-length mirror. No room phone to call front desk. No elevator for heavy luggage. The closet smells of mildew. The only positives were the amazingly friendly staff and the convenient location. But even those aren’t enough to redeem this hotel. It is still a solid one star hotel. What a nightmare. I’m just relieved that it doesn’t seem like I have gotten bedbugs from this place.

I think what you wrote is completely untrue, I as the manager apologize for your inconvenience while staying at my property. we have time to sit down together and discuss what you experienced on the first day of your arrival, we offer daily cleaning service and you decline it due to privacy reasons. I have informed you that our hotel rules all guest rooms will be cleaned every day and you request that your room not be cleaned during your stay for a total of 4 nights.one question for you, how is the condition of the room if not cleaned for 4 nights?of course the room will be dirty and cause a very unpleasant odor.The bottled water we provide in the room is clean and has a legal company in Bali. advice for you If you are on vacation, don't hesitate to book a hotel that suits your expectations and budget and never stay if the property doesn't match your expectations.Best regardsAri sadewa Manager

Quiet oasis in the heart of Ubud
A quiet oasis in the heart of Ubud that we thoroughly enjoyed for our six night stay in a family room. Beautiful pool area and lush manicured gardens created a sense of serenity and calm. Wonderful team of friendly staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Cooked to order breakfast from a range of options all delicious. Room was simple but comfortable with a spacious balcony overlooking dense jungle. Great value and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Great hotel! Was quiet as it was away from the main road so it felt really serene. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The pool was perfect for the kids to cool off and the hotel really helpful arranging drivers and tours. I’d definitely stay again.

Hidden Gem with Beautiful People
This is a super friendly, cosy, beautiful, clean, great ubud center location We stayed in swahita for 2 nights! It's very close to center in walking distance. The room and breakfast were very nice.Dinners are excellent. Most impressed by the staff! No words for the welcoming and kindness of these people.

Relaxing place
Not too far away from the center of ubud this place is relaxing - only shame is that they have no restaurant for lunch / dinner inside the hotel :) we would have loved to have stayed there for lunch or dinner. Breakfast is good.
