Incredibly cute place
While the weather wasn't so inviting, the staff at Tongariro River Motel definitely were! The whole place was super cute and very friendly. Short walk to a great pub.

A well priced comfortable Motel
At first we were worried being so close to main road, but the bed was so comfy we slept through any traffic noise. Very well equipped clean unit. Liked the carport parking for car and how the motel was set out, giving plenty of privacy to each guest unit. Would stay here again.

Warm and Cosy
We stayed here during the Christmas break, we found it very inviting, large unit and a lot of room for the kids to play. It really is set up for people who are wanting to fish, however, we really enjoyed our stay. Comfy beds and it was set up like a home away from home. Found a very yummy fish n chip and Chinese takeaway shop close by. Very reasonable and food was top notch.

My 1st choice in Turangi
For anglers this is the best. The owners truly care about their guests, the river and the fishing going out of their way to make my stay in Turangi as easy as possible (even on late arrivals and early returns). I will definitely be returning and hope there is vacancy when I do. This is a great base to use to fish and explore the area.

Friendly host, cosy rooms
We stayed for two nights as a family holiday in new zealand. It was a pleasant staying and great fishing spot close by. The hosts are helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again next time.

Familienfreundliches Motel
Leider hört man in der Nacht den Strassenlärm; die Lage ist dafür gut. Älteres Motel mit sehr grosszügigen Räumen. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Besitzer sind laufend am renovieren. Sauber.
