Hotel needs to be updated. Understaffed reception desk. No food offering whatsoever after 10 pm sharp, with absolutely no grace period, even for some simple cold foods.

Sehr geehrter Herr S,vielen Dank für Ihren Besuch bei uns im Haus. Als familiengeführtes Hotel sind wir sehr bemüht das Haus in Schuss zu halten - so wurde "Ihr" Zimmer im letzten Jahr erst komplett renoviert. Es ist ärgerlich, dass Sie aufgrund des jetlags die Öffnungszeiten des Restaurants verpasst haben. Bestimmt hätte man da auch anders reagieren können.Genauso ärgerlich ist es aber auch, deshalb hier eine allgemeine schlechte Bewertung abzugeben. Das finden wir sehr schade.Wir hoffen Sie hatten eine gute Heimreise und finden eine schöne Minute für den Rotwein. Vielleicht kann er die Situation ein wenig gutmachen. Es würde uns freuen.

COVID positive = must pay if booked on Hotel.com
BEWARE! Friday afternoon one of the travelers in our group of 4 tested positive for COVID. Due to all 4 traveler’s being high risk, we reported to Hotel.com. & Krone Hotel of our situation & returned to USA Saturday afternoon instead of checking into hotel on Saturday. Neither Krone Hotel or Hotel.com would make an exception to payment, saying cancellation wasn’t within their timeframe. So much for good business practices! I will never use Hotel.com again.

Great hotel, great location, great breakfast!
This is a great hotel. Very nice staff members who had our room key ready for us as soon as we walked in. The room was comfortable, well-decorated, and we appreciated having a coffee machine in the room as well complementary bottles of water. The location is great, about a five minute walk to the old town but located immediately next to the riverfront with scenic views of the old town and surrounding areas. Plenty of good restaurants in the vicinity as well. We didn’t try their restaurant for dinner or drinks but there were plenty of other guests there throughout the evening and again the following morning, so I imagine it’s good. The breakfast was great, awesome spread and high quality options, polite service. You would do well to stay the night here if you are in Tubingen. I would definitely stay here again and already recommended it to a few friends. Thanks a great experience.

Great location near transportation hub (train, bus, etc.) and center of town. The new rooms are great and very comfortable (and AC in summer!). They have also improved the WiFi in the hotel. The breakfast buffet is spectacular - one of the best of the hotels in the area. Staff are also very friendly

Great staff!
Lovely hotel in a great location! Staff was helpful and very accommodating! We started out in a room in the older part of the hotel which was very warm and without AC. After an uncomfortable night we were switched to a very lovely room in the newer part of the hotel! Note: parking can be a challenge

A very comfortable hotel, within walking distance of the centre of Tuebingen, across the Neckar river. Pleasant lounges to relax in. Very helpful staff. Plenty of choice for breakfast.

Great location in the center of Tuebingen -near the train and bus stations and walking distances to restaurants and city sights. Ask for the new section of comfort rooms. They are new and have AC which was critical this hot July. Rooms are nice with walk in showers and very clean. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Finally, they have a great breakfast buffet - a great deal!

Great hotel in fantastic location
Very nice hotel, with good sized room. We had a nice balcony where we were able to relax. Didn't get a chance to try the breakfast. Very well located near the old part of town. Only major negative is the quality of their pillows. Like none was there even when sleeping directly on it.

Loved hotel. Great location close to train with easy access to the university and city. Terrific shower and nice shampoo/ soaps. BUT, the Internet was awful. And there were no foreign language tv stations.

Very nice little town apparently they have a huge chocolate festival in December. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.

Nice traditional hotel in a central location
It was mostly good. The room was clean and comfortable and pretty spacious. The breakfast was good with the usual German options, plus eggs and bacon. Wifi was pretty stable and fast except on one evening when there seemed to be some issues. One complaint I have is that the Internet has some ridiculously strict filtering - I could not even look at the menus at some of the local bars because they sold alcohol... I thought this was beer-loving Germany not Saudi Arabia? Also, the car park was usually full so there was always concern over whether I'd be able to find a parking space after a hard day at work. I'd probably stay here again but would after looking at other options.

Great hotel
This hotel far exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful, clean and spacious and the staff were very friendly. There were three of us in a room so we had two double beds and one roll in bed but all the beds were very comfortable. Room had complimentary bottles of water which definitely came in handy as we arrived quite late and wouldn't have been able to go out and find a place to buy water. Breakfast had a good selection and was very tasty. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The CROWN of any Krone named Hotels
The name and initial Pictures indicated a standard (bourgeois) german 3-star Hotel, but the minute we walked in, that mind set changed. A great Hotel, which performs a perfect Bridge between History of its House, modern but Contemporary interior. Warm welcoming staff, very supportive, multi-lingual, and paired with their neighbor Restaurant / Bar / Cafe , which I believe is part of the house, (same staff), but looks separated, a great experience to overnight, dine and or just enjoy. The Hotel honors its name. A real CROWN !!!
