Nice size room for a family right in town. Being right above the bar with live music until 11:30pm wasnt good with kids. Didnt get much sleep - no prior indication during booking process or during check-in was provided unfortunately. Breakfast included was good.

Was disappointed that the site indicated check in was 2pm but we wernt allowed to check in until 4. Not a lot to offer to this small town. A little disappointed that we planned our vacation travelling in distances around check ins

A little Gem, although the Hotel is a little older than the big “modern “ hotels it more than made up with the cleanliness, comfort and value. As we found during our visit the people of Ireland are warm and welcoming and the staff at Murphys are no exception to this, We would highly recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here again. They serve a good pint of Guinness 👍

We had dinner in the hotel, food arrived quickly, was good, but waited 40 minutes for plates to be lifted, no one asked if we wanted a desert. Would still go back though.

Great hotel and location with excellent food.
Room clean and tidy. Excellent simple shower. Bed comfortable. Staff friendly. While all the above were very good, to our mind the jewel in the crown was the excellent food. Unusual for us we ate in the hotel every one of the 4 evenings and therefore tasted a wide variety of the food on offer. Every dish was excellent allied to a very good breakfast a great place to eat.

Murphys Hotel
I had a lovely stay at Murphys Hotel. The first surprise was the large car park to the rear, as the Hotels.com app indicated there was no on site parking! The staff were all chatty and helpful. The room was surprisingly large and very comfortable. The food in the bar was also delicious and the portions at breakfast were huge. I definitely wasn’t hungry for the rest of the day!

Tried to change extra fees, unclean & bad service
On check in they tried to make us pay extra fees. The room was unclean and the smell was overwhelming. When we ask to change we were told they could help that previous guests had left a smell and they would not allow us to change room. We were told at check-in that breakfast was until 12 but when we arrived down at 11 we found out it was over.

Murphy’s Hotel - overnight stay
A quick overnight stay as part of our touring trip of the South. Check in was quick and easy. Everyone was friendly and helpful and very attentive. We would definitely stay here again, it’s in the heart of the town.

We have stayed at hostels that provided more and were in better condition. The photos are rather misleading. However, the staff is exceptionally nice and we only had to stay there one night.

Friendly local pub/ hotel
Check in was odd. Had to go into pub to find a staff member. Got overcharged but they corrected it in the morning. The food was good and the cost was appropriate. Room was comfortable Be aware on weekends there is music in the pub which is lovely to listen to but don’t try to sleep till it’s done. Would have liked to stay another day.

Cool hotel if you want to stay close to pubs
Stayed with a family of four on the way north. Neat atmosphere, good food, pub right there. No problem with noise or anything like that. Yes, the check in through the pub is odd, but so what?

Sweet little inn.
The hotel has a lift which I always appreciate. The breakfast was excellent!! One orders off the menu. Service was lovely. Staff was very welcoming. The only improvement I would suggest to the hotel is that they put an air hinge on the door between the kitchen and the little dining room. Without it the door slams loudly whenever the waitstaff go between the kitchen and dining room. It is loud and unpleasant the way it is now. There is a parking lot behind the hotel although we used street parking.

Perfect for a short stay
Nice hotel for a one night sleep. It has a nice Irish flavor but the toilet wasn't working very well and the shower must be the smaller I've ever seen. Funky smell in the room but I think it was just because it wasn't rent in a while. Restaurant is very good and the service is very friendly. But if you're looking for a typical Irish small town hotel, it's the place. Nice stay overall.
