Dondoyaki. Early in the new year, people come from all around the surrounding area to ritually burn the prior year's talismans and amulets. They also can burn things that they feel can't be thrown away...like stuffed toys, that have spirit (kami) to be released.

When we got there, they actually upgraded us to a suite. And man…it was AMAZING! Spacious, two nice beds and a long sofa, and a flat screen TV. The bathroom had two ports and a giant tub. We had four adults and one child (who is four) and we all just got fit into the suite. The location is close to subway stations, plenty of local restaurants and beautiful walks. When we come back to Ginza, we will be staying here again.
