"We had a lovely stay at Pan Haus during our Halstatt trip. The bed and breakfast is run by a warm and friendly couple and our room faced the beautiful hills. The location is very convenient, close to the bus stop and train. This was our first experience with a WhatsApp check-in and code entry, which was a pleasant surprise. "The place seemed a little like something out of a horror film. The room itself was nice (the balcony door was broken which was disappointing) but the actual facility is nothing like the pictures. I never saw a staff person (not sure if there is even breakfast available) and the place was completely dark and dead even though I got there during the supposed check in time. Definitely bring water and snacks for your stay. "

"Incredible views, great food, kind staff that helped my daughter with a bee sting, comfy room with huge bathroom which is rare. My only recommendation is that they put screens on windows in the summer so without air conditioning you can have windows open for the evening breeze without bees/spiders coming in. Would still recommend this hotel regardless.... loved it."
