It is a symbol of identity in Kandyan Architecture. In the olden days, the king would stand there to address his citizens who were gathered in front of him. The golden roof behind stands over the Buddha tooth relic that this temple is famous for. Very nice environment! Beautiful woodland. Rooms are very big and nicely placed. Staff is very friendly and providing good service. Ayurvedic place And staff were excellent. The check in process is complicated and taking long time. Some parts of the property are not well maintained. The food is tasty but unmatched combination.

Rooms smelling bad and bad internet

We booked 3 rooms. All were smelling bad from the toilet. Wifi is not in the room and outside in wifi areas very bad.

アーユルヴェーダが売り物だが、全体的にいま一歩の感じ

キャンディの街はずれにあるリゾートホテル。自然に囲まれのんびり出来る。ただ、日本人経営と聞いていたが、それなりのサービスが期待出来なかった。全体的には良い感じだが、日本人としての細部のこだわりが感じられなかった。売り物のアーユルヴェーダも中途半端なチープな感じがして満足感が得られなかった。食事についてもレベルの低さや配慮の足りなさを随所に感じた。

Lovely setting, nice spa and pool. We liked the food and thought that the staff were quite gracious. However, the room seemed run-down with a bathroom that stank of the sewer and had a good deal of mold.

Away from it all

The location outside bustling, hectic Kandy and its traffic was ideal for peace and sense of natural beauty. The welcome was warm, the room a bit tired and needing some update, but quite acceptable. We commented on a badly leaking tap, in light of water shortages in the area, but it was not fixed over our 2-day stay. Food was good and reasonably priced, the pool was nice but could do with some loungers for relaxing after a swim. As with almost all our Sri Lanka trip, staff were friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our short stay. Our driver was essential for getting to and from Kandy's attractions.

Not Ayurvedic but good for family vacation

It was pleasant stay srounded by beautiful trees, but a bit disappointed as I believed this hotel was famous for its Ayurvedic features... But found it was not. They serve chemical shampoos, TV set instead of wifi connection, it was really stressed... Ayurvedic Spa was nice, but not price worthy (means expensive) comparing to other hospitality servicers. Staffs were all friendly and nice.

総合的に満足！

キャンディの中心部からは少し離れた森の中にあるホテル。森の中にあるので、朝に散歩をすると鳥が鳴いていたり、楽しかったです。部屋は広くて清潔。スタッフもみな親切で対応も良かったです。アーユルヴェーダの施設も併設しているので、滞在中に受け、とても気持ちよかったです。コースも色々と選べるのも良かった。また、ガイドブックに朝のネイチャーウォークを行っていると書いてあったのでお願いしたところ、希望の日程では都合がつかないが、生活の木のスタッフが施設内を案内してくれるとのことで、無料で朝の施設内ツアーをしてくれました。近くを流れる川から茶畑など、近くの自然をたっぷり見ることが出来てとても楽しかったです。お茶、コーヒー豆、カカオ豆、胡椒の木、ジャックフルーツなど・・色々な植物がスリランカにあることを知ることが出来ました。案内してくれた方は英語があまり出来なかったのですが、楽しく回ることが出来ました。

Quiet nature retreat

Great retreat from the bustle of Kandy and Peradeniya, however you will need transport as it is some distance from railway stations. Fantastic isolated retreat, ideal for bird watching. Beautiful massages.

爆音で音楽が…

子連れで泊まれるアーユルヴェーダリゾートが少なく、消去法でここに決めました。アーユルヴェーダの施術は普通です。ひとつ気になったのは、私たちが宿泊した日、レストランスペースを結婚パーティに貸し出してて日中ずっと爆音でボリウッド音楽がかかっており、全く安らげなかったことですかね。

A nice place to stay in Kandy

Overall the hotel was nice. However it was a bit outdated. The TV channels were not clear and the AC in the rooms were not the greatest. The overall room cleanliness was good but they did miss a few spots. The towels were threadbare and need to be replaced immediately. The location is very peaceful and quite and the quality of service was very good. However, I would definitely stay here again.
